Urban asks Nandy about Remembrance Sunday
Nandy says we remember the sacrifices people made
Urban then asks, when are you going to spend more [on war]?
Nandy says the govt is spending more & will cut spending elsewhere to spend even more
Both wearing poppies, of course

At the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine workers are facing redundancies after senior managers announced £24m cuts over three years. The unions are not recognised at LSTM and workers are fighting to save their jobs .Their work is vitally important for pandemic resilience and overcoming health inequalities. This is an urgent call to trade unionists in Liverpool to show support next Tuesday at the joint union rally. Bring banners and placards. Solidarity!

When @vicderbyshire started out on @BBC many thought she'd be less biased & less bigoted than Kuenssberg & the rest but sadly it's seemingly not the case.
She'll hold certain people to account but not the right people!
It's not just politicians complicit in support of Israel.
Why does the BBC continue to defend the indefensible?
Their presenters will never concede that Israel has committed war crimes, let alone a genocide.
The @bbcnews and their political commentators have lost all credibility.

How it works:
In 1988 Foreign Office minister David Mellor MP described conditions in Gaza as "shocking and inhuman", "an affront to civilised values" and confronted the IDF in public.
His career ended when secretly taken recordings of his sex life were published in the media.

I finally got my letter form the DWP for my PIP review earlier today.
I couldn't open it, so my wife did.
Thankfully, approved for another 10 years.
Such a relief.
One weight off me, just my dad's funeral to get through now.

Lest we forget.
Every one of these hypocrite politicians want a war with Russia.
We should ban all warmongers from attending the cenotaph.

How refreshing, to see an MP actually speaking the truth about benefits, instead of contributing to the web of disinformation spun by far too many others in the House.

If this is not headline news in our media this weekend then we will know for sure that we have no real independent media in the UK.

I think many people are sick of the fucking sight of Zelensky and a 2027 State Visit will make even more feel the same way.

The only ground allowed to be heard in Supreme Court appeal was balance between countering terrorism and freedom of speech and assembly.
The judges referenced terrorism, terrorist or national security 60 times.
They mentioned freedom of speech zero times.

Just a reminder that there is a big difference between anxiety and an anxiety disorder.
Take the case of Errol Graham. His anxiety disorder meant he couldn't leave his flat. Even when his benefits were stopped, he couldn't leave. He starved to death. @andyburnham @patmcfaddenmp

People are starting to realise that you're no better than Starmer; Starmer 2.0, which I said right from the moment they announced you for Makerfield.
You're every bit a conman as Keir Starmer.

TUC's Paul Nowak calls out Conservative MP Luke Evans who criticised welfare payments.
"A third of those who claim universal credit are in work"
"And we are subsidising poor employers, many of whom are not small businesses, they're large businesses who can afford to pay more"
"And we are subsidising them as taxpayers"
My view:
36% of working Universal Crecit claimants worked more than 30 hours a week.
Telling people to work harder is a hollow response when so many are already putting in substantial hours and still qualify for support.
Why should taxpayers have to top up wages at hugely profitable companies that can afford to pay their staff more?
The people stacking shelves, serving customers and keeping these businesses running help create that wealth. They deserve a fairer share of it.
Universal Credit also helps with housing, children and other household needs.
Politicians should challenge those business decisions with the same energy they direct at benefit claimants.
When companies prioritise shareholder returns while the people generating those returns struggle to cover the basics, something is badly wrong with the system.
