Sur les 5 800 prisonniers détenus en Russie pour motifs politiques, condamnés à des peines allant jusqu'à 28 ans de prison, des centaines sont dans des conditions de santé déplorables et leurs vies sont en danger.
Parmi eux, Maria Ponomarenko journaliste condamnée pour avoir dénoncé les bombardements russes sur le théâtre de Marioupol et enfermée depuis janvier 2023.
En détention, elle a fait plusieurs tentatives de suicide et son état psychique est critique. Ses deux enfants mineurs attendent leur mère.
Je suis honorée de l'avoir parrainée dans le cadre du programme de soutien aux prisonniers politiques russes. Nous devons faire tout notre possible pour qu'elle ne soit pas oubliée et qu'un jour elle puisse retrouver la liberté, ses enfants et son foyer.

Independent journalism is becoming increasingly difficult, I’m now facing unexplained monetisation restrictions on my platforms, like Meta, while X appears to be increasingly restricting the reach and visibility of my posts, and for many others.
Keep supporting, it’s valuably important.
There’s a certain irony in platforms that claim to champion free speech while making it increasingly difficult for independent voices to be heard. They demand original, creative content, yet at the same time appear to restrict the very creators producing it, a bizarre paradox to say the least.

I am absolutely disgusted by what @KyivIndependent has just done.
They filed a copyright complaint against my YouTube video, which had 1.3 MILLION views, over just FIVE SECONDS of footage.
YouTube has now removed the entire video and issued a copyright strike against my channel.
Not one email. Not one warning. Not even the courtesy of asking me to remove the clip.
I’m an independent frontline journalist who risks his life reporting from Ukraine. My channel is my livelihood. And another supposedly independent journalism organisation has chosen to jeopardise it.
This is an appalling way to treat another journalist. What happened to solidarity and press freedom?
I’m calling on editor-in-chief @olya_rudenko to explain who authorised this, why nobody contacted me, and why they believe five seconds justified taking down a report seen by 1.3 million people.
I am demanding an immediate retraction and will pursue every available legal avenue to challenge this decision.
You should be ashamed of how this has been handled.
