Video of comet NEOWISE from last night: 27 minutes compressed into 11 seconds. 10 second exposures, 50 frames.
Just posted on point mapping and modeling for astrophotography. Maybe not autoguide! You can see some samples of images I've been collecting from home this spring. mojo.whiteoaks.com/2020/07/0…
A couple nights ago I imaged Messier 61, a lovely spiral galaxy, without knowing that it had an active supernova. There it is, at 2:30 from the galaxy core.
I've been doing some astrophotography from home instead of the desert, because reasons. And because I can! I'm surprised by the results.
Last night's observing came with an interesting puzzle. Can you figure out what happened? "This story is a bit flat"
