THANK YOU SOUTH AFRICA! 💚🧡
IT'S YOUR TIME FOR: local governments where the community comes first; where appointments are based on merit and expertise; where tax money works for taxpayers; where there is freedom to build and grow; and where stable, accountable and principled coalitions govern.
DANKIE SUID-AFRIKA! 💚🧡

Auditor-General Raises Alarm Over Gayton McKenzie’s Department of Sport, Arts and Culture After R67 Million Irregular Spending And R1.68 Million Wasteful Expenditure Is Uncovered
The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, led by Minister Gayton McKenzie, has been flagged for R67 million in irregular expenditure, according to findings by the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA). The findings have raised concerns about financial management, accountability and weaknesses in internal controls within the department and its entities.
The department initially reported R10.43 million in irregular expenditure for the 2024/25 financial year, but the Auditor-General established that the actual amount was R42 million. This figure increased to R67 million in 2025/26. The AGSA warned that the amount could be higher because the Mandela Bay Theatre Complex and Robben Island Museum could not quantify their irregular expenditure.
The department's historical irregular expenditure balance also remained substantial, although it decreased from R861 million to R839 million. The Auditor-General further identified R1.68 million in fruitless and wasteful expenditure across 11 entities, alongside concerns about unspent grants, budget overspending and weaknesses in financial oversight.
Responding to parliamentary questions, McKenzie said the department had developed an audit action plan, reviewed by Internal Audit, to address the root causes of the 2024/25 audit findings. He said corrective measures were assigned to responsible programmes with deadlines and monitored through quarterly reports to departmental management and the Audit Committee. Parliament is expected to monitor progress in strengthening financial accountability.

The only way to attract current or former ANC members and voters is to become more communist/socialist. So, in essence, the DA leader is admitting, a day before the election, that his party will become more communist/socialist to become the biggest party.

Replying to @SAHRCommission
@SAHRCommission is awfully quit after the weekend’s blatant racism and hate speech. Maybe they think it will go away if they pretend not to hear or see the evil. Well, I’ll leave a pic of the racist evil here to remind them.

And so it begins. The DA’s lying campaign. Desperately trying to scare voters not to vote for their values and hopes. Claiming it will allow the ANC in through the back door. All the while the DA allowed the ANC in through the front door in 2024. Everything Blue is not necessarily true.

MEDIA STATEMENT
Lex Libertas has lodged a formal ethics complaint with Parliament’s Office of the Registrar of Members’ Interests against MP Andile Mngxitama following his public comments about the brutal attack on Ventersdorp farmer Donovan Marx. Lex Libertas is calling for an investigation, formal findings and serious disciplinary action against him.
Marx was shot, stabbed and severely assaulted during an attack in which both of his ears were cut off.
Mngxitama published a post on X identifying Marx as a ‘white farmer’, describing the cutting off of his ears as ‘symbolic’, linking the mutilation to the alleged refusal of ‘land thieves’ to listen, and adding: ‘No land no peace.’ He subsequently posted ‘Your ears are going to be cut off’ and ‘Land thieves loosing their minds! Stop killing us on farms!’ The complaint asks Parliament to consider the three posts individually and together. The intended recipient and full context of the statement about cutting off ears have not been established and should be investigated.
Lex Libertas has asked Parliament’s ethics authorities to determine whether Mngxitama breached the Code of Ethical Conduct, particularly its prohibitions on bringing Parliament into disrepute through social-media conduct, using derogatory or racist content, and inciting violence or promoting hate speech. It has also invoked members’ broader duties to uphold public trust and confidence in Parliament.
If a breach is established, Lex Libertas calls for serious sanctions under the Code:
1. suspension of Mngxitama from participating in parliamentary debates and committees for at least 30 sitting days;
2. the maximum financial penalty permitted by law;
3. consideration of demotion in parliamentary rank under Parliament’s Code of Ethical Conduct, where applicable;
4. a formal reprimand of Mngxitama;
5. a requirement that he apologise in Parliament; and
6. a requirement that he publicly withdraw his remarks.
An apology alone would not be sufficient. The Committee is therefore asked to provide reasons if it declines to recommend substantial sanctions.
Lex Libertas emphasised that the complaint does not allege that Marx’s attackers acted from political or racial motives. The complaint concerns Mngxitama’s own decision, as a sitting Member of Parliament, to attach racial and political meaning to an act of extreme violence.
‘Parliament cannot simply acknowledge that these remarks are offensive,’ said Dr Ernst Roets, Executive Director of Lex Libertas. ‘Parliament must investigate them properly, determine whether its own ethical rules were breached and, if so, ensure consequences that demonstrate that threats and incitement to violence by elected representatives are taken seriously.’
According to Lex Libertas, these recurring problems point to a deeper structural failure in South Africa’s highly centralised political order.
‘Communities should not remain indefinitely dependent on distant institutions that repeatedly fail to address their concerns,’ Roets said. ‘South Africa needs greater decentralisation and self-governance so that communities can take more responsibility for their own safety, local affairs and future.’
The complaint forms part of the second phase of the White Cross Project, through which Lex Libertas will continue to press for accountability while advancing practical solutions based on decentralisation and self-governance.

______________
The Freedom Front Plus (VF Plus) will see to it that shocking statements such as those made by the MK Party MP, Andile Mngxitama, regarding farm attacks and the gruesome attack on Mr Donovan Marx, whose ears were hacked off in an attack this week, do not go unpunished.
Today in a post on X and Facebook, Mr Mngxitama implied that Mr Marx is a “land thief” and that cutting off his ears is “symbolic to denote the refusal of land thieves to listen.” Such remarks are unacceptable and have no place in a modern, civilised society.
