Waxing (and waning) poetic about baseball. Toxicly stoic Mariners fan. Noted John Stanton Enabler. Chaos ball enjoyer. Prospect hugger. Dueness believer. ⚾✖️🌒

MLB GM Meetings are next week. With the shortened/lockout offseason speculation is it could be extra active. Jerry swing the Teoscar Hernandez trade on November 16, and I'm hoping for something similar before Thanksgiving! Get em Jerry

Omfg that's cool. Jim is featured in the battered bastards of baseball documentary about the mavericks which is a must watch for baseball fans imo

Jim Swanson left behind a treasure trove of stories — some ribald, some zany, but almost all meant to wring every bit of fun from the moment at hand.

Can't wait for the news to drop that my high school shop teacher Mr. Silvernail will be the 3B coach.

Jerry says Mariners hope to add to bullpen (potentially through free agency), 1-2 bats, and a veteran IF which may or may not be one of those bats (potentially via trade). Read direct quotes in Teren's article 👇

A name that makes sense to me is Omar López. Astros bench coach since 2020 (so familiar with Kanzler). WBC Gold Medal manager of team Venezuela. AA Texas League manager of the year in 2018.

Now that Jason Kanzler is the manager, I believe it's important to get a Latino, Spanish-speaker in a meaningful coaching position with the staff such as bench coach. The more ways you can relate to players the better.

New Mariners manager Jason Kanzler made an insane catch playing CF as a *coach* at the Astros’ alternate site back in 2020.

Either Jason Kanzler is a wunderkind or the Mariners gut the front office. Sounds like a win/win to me.

7 year old daughter just asked when we can watch MLB again. I explained that the owners are locking out players and we may not have a season at all next year. She's legitimately silently crying with a shell shocked look on her face. Fuck you MLB owners and fuck the lockout🖕
