I respectfully disagree with this mentality! Coaches are already overworked and underpaid as it is. Reducing stipends for coaches who donβt have a CDL is the wrong approach and will only push more coaches out of the profession.
If districts need more coaches to obtain their CDL, incentivize it through additional compensation rather than penalizing those who donβt have one. Coaches already give countless hours beyond the school day to serve their student-athletes.
We should be looking for ways to RETAIN quality coaches, not create more reasons for them to leave the profession! π―ππποΈββοΈ
