Hey have you considered that if an artist charges thousands of dollars for a digital illustration that you, an individual, probably aren’t the target audience
You can’t witch hunt artists with AI accusations and criticize their pricing while trying to make it in this profession yourself. Charge your worth or shut up

twitter mad that the one peach artist is charging +$50/hr like... sorry man art is a luxury idk what else to tell you. a mechanic can charge thousands for 30 minutes of work bc of seniority but nobody blinks an eye. a wedding dress is ~$3-5000 and you only wear it once.

if you have a painterly art style thats highly rendered but also isnt really concerned with minute details they just kill you

These are professional prices and they have every right to charge them.
GenAi companies make billions of dollars based on the works they stole from artists for training purposes, yet some folks don’t think the work itself is valuable?
Supporting the arts includes good rates!!
Slots are open
4500 usd full illustration (1 slot)

I see more and more young artists complaining about prices other artists are charging for things.
As an older guy now who’s been a professional artists for decades let me just weigh in.
First, the market and their audience decides prices, not other artists. When you whine about other artists you sound bitter. Not a good look.
Second, if you’re constantly complaining about high art prices you’re essentially a participant in cultivating a culture that monetarily devalues art. Good luck making a living yourself with art in the future in the world you’re creating.
Third, watch out for being a crab in the bucket. Always trying to pull down the ones above you trying to move up. If you know people like this in real life you know you hate being around them.
Lastly, the internet thrives on negativity not goodness. Try and use it for good.

I’m late but happy 2 years to The Great Impersonator! This album got me through a very difficult time in my life and everyday I understand more than I did the last. Thank you @halsey ❤️
Watching a loved one struggle with illness, confronting mortality, and navigating grief were all I’ve known since 2024. This album crept up on me when I least expected it. Sometimes its a difficult listen, and other times its just what I need. thank you i love you @halsey
