The law that he helped pass was written by the insurance companies who's CEOs have profited massively becuase of it.
This is very good snark but it isn’t even over the top and the worse part is that the DNC would still be selling any program like it as “universal” or at least as a “step in the right direction”. 😖

sure, if you want to call a program to pay off the prime-numbered dollars of unsubsidized student loans for left-handed members of federally recognized tribes who have no late rent payments for seven years in states with an odd number of letters in their names "nothing"
It’s very important to remember that billionaires are the wellspring from which we flow. There are people who will lie to you and tell you that humanity was able to feed and clothe itself and create art science before they existed but don’t listen to those fools.
Every time I so much as imagine an electoral path to even just a softer collapse, I remember that the vast majority of the people in this country with any real power are now absolutely fine with bombing school girls, burning them alive, or letting billionaires rape them.
“Opportunity”, in both the DNC and GOP dialects of U.S. political bullshit, translates directly to “corporate tax cuts, subsidies, and deregulation”, although, in current usage, “bailouts” are often also implied.

George Washington spent less than a dollar a year on clothes for each slave he owned on Mount Vernon. And enslaved children often went naked.

I don’t think many people have the ability to zoom all the way out and really understand how the constant exploitation of the American people by literally everyone in every way possible is effecting the average person psychologically.

The saddest part is when the kid first approached the guy he was smiling and friendly. Everything sucks in his life, but he's still trying to put on a good face and attitude at work and be helpful with customers. Punk ass kids needs an ass whooping.
Nobody is “also” a capitalist. If you’re not willing to change the structure of the economy it will inevitably return to this point no matter how many heavily means tested social programs you implement to prevent that. The system as it exists is built to pipe money upstream.
When SVB tanked a few years ago Jamie Dimon & Company owned it within a week. That’s of course capitalism working as intended. The reason that it’s different for young people is that they have no capital and that alone makes them despicable.
