Simon Heffer, not exactly a pinko liberal leftie, reviews the new Liz Truss book, and it should be framed in every loo in the land.
Fuck me. Taylor Wimpey think that buoldinh tower blocks that be won't leave people to be incinerated as an "aspirational" goal for regilators.
Goodbye. Londoners don't want your firetraps anyways.

Even though I detest it, I just default to using Google's browser on all of my devices. I don't even bother customising it to improve it a little.
I think I'm suffering from Stock Chrome Syndrome.

PMSL. They polled those who viewed the channels.
Those who watch GB "News" tend to accept every viewpoint they're fed.
BBC viewers are, of course, a bit more discriminating so that's the root reason for the difference.

I, Kevin Rowland (the son of Irish immigrants) and the main songwriter of ‘Come On Eileen,’ am disgusted to learn that Nigel Farage has used our song to make his entrance for his party conference. Myself, and all of Dexys are passionately against Farage’s politics.
@ByDonkeys .
Fuck me. The lack of understanding of the purpose of the large intestine is impressive.
Daily Telegraph supporting blackmail.
Hint: today's Thames Water debts are, in effect, a conversion of shareholder dividends.

Apparently it’s been a terrible week for Renewables. Wind hardly running, solar useless, Gas the saviour of the grid and blackouts imminent.
So while enjoying a beer waiting for the guests to arrive I checked on the week
Gas 28%
Solar 16%
Wind 20%
Grid perfectly fine again

A lot of people maybe unaware but @CountBinface raises money for Shelter through his merchandise sales on his intergalatic website.
Nigel Farage helps himself.

Please do not call Elon Musk a fascist. He is not a fascist. He has simply endorsed a post arguing that universal suffrage causes "universal suffering", that the population must be divided into "makers" and "takers", and that "takers" should lose the right to vote. He replied "I have wised up".
This is not fascism. It is simply the position that democratic participation should be contingent on economic productivity as defined by the ownership class. The richest man on the planet arguing that people who do not generate sufficient private wealth should be stripped of democratic representation is not an authoritarian position. It is simply a return to pre-1832 franchise politics, when only men of property could vote. The Chartists who fought and died for universal suffrage were clearly wrong about that one.
The "makers and takers" framework is not fascist language. It is merely language that recasts the entire working population of every developed economy; every nurse, carer, teacher, cleaner, shelf-stacker, warehouse worker, bus driver, and pensioner; as parasites whose democratic voice threatens civilisation. This is a completely normal thing for the richest man in human history to believe.
The argument that the franchise must be restricted to protect the productive class from the unproductive is not a fascist position. It is merely a position that every fascist and authoritarian movement in European history has held, from Mussolini's abolition of free elections to Salazar's Estado Novo, which tied voting rights to literacy and property, to Franco's Spain, where elections were abolished entirely for nearly four decades.
But Musk is not a fascist. He is a "maker". A maker who built his empire on billions in government contracts, public subsidies, state-funded infrastructure, and tax incentives; funded, that is, by the very "takers" he now believes should not be allowed to vote.
Do not call him a fascist. That would be rude.

10 years ago my wife, the mum of our kids & the MP for Batley&Spen was killed by a far right extremist.
At anniversaries I try to be optimistic about the future. But not this time. In the ten years since she was killed we have gone backwards & I fear our democracy is now at risk

🚨🇬🇧 My fellow white people all over the world.
We are not oppressed because of our race. When we pretend we are, we look like idiots.
The evidence on policing shows the opposite. Stop and search. Use of force. The Lammy Review. Macpherson. The disparities are documented, and they don’t show anti-white bias. The training that followed didn’t turn the police into an anti-white militia. That’s a story, not a fact.
Here’s what is a fact. The police failed Henry. He told them he’d been stabbed. An officer said “I don’t think so, mate.” He died. Procedure wasn’t followed. That failure is real and it deserves answers.
It had nothing to do with his race, or yours.
Anyone telling you Henry died because the police have become anti-white is selling you something. Farage. Lowe. Braverman. Robinson. They need you angry, irrational, and not looking at the data - because persecution is the product. It keeps them relevant. They have no solution to a single real problem this country faces.
Henry deserved better than to die. He also deserves better than to be turned into a false persecution narrative, or a culture war martyr - his own grieving father explicitly warned against this.

The Somerset Farmhouse of 1 North Street, Williton were approached by a "food influencer" that wanted to charge them £2,000 for a review.
They put out a video of Sally eating a sausage roll instead 😆.
Lets make Sally and the Somerset Farmhouse famous for free.
