Don't know how needs to hear this but you can be a designer an not:
Wear all black.
Own a Telsa/Audi/Porshe.
Have a newsletter.
Tweet advice.
Use the color purple.
Enjoy bento grids.
Dark mode everything.
Have an organized desk.
Have all Apple stuff.
But you also can.

Back in 2012, an 8-year old Coco Gauff attended the US Open
11 years later, she becomes the youngest American US Open Champion since Serena Williams in 1999 ❤️

Going back home with a handful of notes and a head full of thoughts! We have a lot of ideas to crack on now @henderland 🤯
Awesome to see some known faces from the #designsystems community and former colleagues here in #London
Onto the next!
I actually saw someone scanning it and desperately turning their volume down!

Hanging out at the @figma #schema2022 conference in London today, already had some great chats about Design Systems and UX Ops, if you see @henderland or @mpg23 grab them for a chat!

I’ve published a blog post version of yesterday’s #ConvergeLDN talk: Your design system contribution practice is doomed.
TL;DR: because capitalism.
If you’d prefer to watch the talk, the folks at @zeroheight will publish the videos soon.

If you are really into #DesignSystems you shouldn't be bothered about the latest shocking news. True design systems are meant to be platform and tooling agnostic.
Worst case scenario: #XD and Figma are merged and all the freaking good work done by plugin makers that help us every day will go to waste - and a massive price will be put on personal licenses.
I’ve just failed on not touching my phone before bed just to know that I left Zaha on the bench and Reece in. #shameonme
