We’ve been staying quiet as the dust settles in Venezuela.
We are stoked to hear the news that our friend, the Iron Lady, María Corina Machado, has returned home to her people in Venezuela as the rightful leader of the republic.
While we remain deeply concerned for her safety and security, we know María well enough to know that no amount of risk, especially to herself, would ever stop the Iron Lady from leading her people from the front.
We do not love the danger she willingly faces now that she is back in Venezuela, but her courage, conviction, and unwavering commitment to the Venezuelan people are exactly what make her the extraordinary leader she is.
Grey Bull Rescue is incredibly proud to have played a small role in her story of survival, conducting Operation: GOLDEN DYNAMITE in December last year as we extracted her from the brutal pursuit of the now-defunct Maduro regime.
Saving her life then allows her to lead her people now.
We stand with all democratically elected leaders, including María and the people of Venezuela. We wish María the wisdom to lead under complex circumstances during hard times with honor and transparency. The people of Venezuela crave strength, freedom, and a brighter future.
