I said goodbye to a patient a few years ago. She didn’t die, she just got old. I treat patients to age 21 and they move on. When they do, I joke, “well, I did my job! I kept you alive until adulthood!”

One thing about TRC day is that the celebratory tone some people take around it really unsettles me.
Sept. was chosen, in part, bc it’s when children would be taken back to ‘schools’. It was the “month of crying”. There should be at leastsome element of solemness.

A colleague of mine has been married 3 times. He’s a man so only one name appears on the teacher registry. A woman in the same situation has 4 names listed. The public does not need to know a female teacher’s marital history. Respect her privacy. @AdrianaLaGrange fix this please!
