Every day, we’re formed by narratives about self, happiness, science, justice, liberty, and progress—often without realizing it. ‘Making Sense of Us’ helps us understand these scripts, how they’re shaping Western culture today, and where they ultimately fall short. This 7-week video curriculum from @thegospelcoalition shows how the gospel answers our deepest longings and speaks a better word than the stories our culture tells. Taught by Keller Center fellows, this resource is a
great option for individuals, small groups, or church-wide study. The curriculum released yesterday, see a full lesson 👉 makingsenseofus.com. -Michael Keller

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Neil Postman's "Amusing Ourselves to Death." I first read the book around 2018 and found myself forgetting that it'd been written more than three decades prior. Replace "television" with "internet" and one can read it today and understandably wonder if Postman were alive and well.
All of this to say, contributing to this book, "Scrolling Ourselves to Death," a series of reflections on Postman's work through the lens of discipleship to Jesus in the digital age, was one of the truly special experiences of my writing life.
Big thanks to my friend @brettmccracken for the invitation to participate, and the team at @crossway for bringing this to life. I share these pages with some dear friends and find myself enriched by their thoughtfulness.
"Scrolling Ourselves to Death" is out April 15th and is available wherever you get your books. I hope you find it helpful.

Congratulations to my friend @ianharber on the release of a deeply personal book on deconstruction -- one that combines clarity, conviction, and compassion in a project that will aid pastors, church leaders, and friends as they walk alongside others amzn.to/3C5T5BA

I talked to Greg Sheridan of @australian (for the first time publicly) about becoming a lapsed atheist and embracing the Christian faith. I'm afraid it's behind a paywall (unlike Heaven), so here are the quotes in a thread: 1/17

It’s what Homer says when he’s been dragged up a mountain by Sherpas.
It’s also what modern westerners say about moral progress when they’ve been carried by Christianity.
