Well will you look at that - last posted exactly six months ago. Anyway, this is just the occasional post to keep the account alive - here’s Matilda helping me wind some yarn.
Dimly remember reading something about having to post here occasionally to keep the account active - that may or may not be right but here is a nice picture of Henry.
Well I’m over 50 and he can fuck right off. And take that patronising ‘Saga-generation’ bollocks with him.
Popping in to say the very happiest of new years to the increasingly tiny number of people who might see this! In case it’s of interest I’m starting a ‘photo a day’ thing on Instagram, so if you’d like to keep up with the cats (plus other stuff, honest!) I’m mspaulameyer there!
Popped in to see how everything was on here and got an advert for a knuckleduster. An actual knuckleduster. So who needs Disney, obviously.😳
The daughter just finally got her degree result and she got a First! So there’s now someone in the family with a Double First from Cambridge, and that’s *weird*… Flashback to the summer, when she sort-of graduated but without a result because of the marking boycott!
They may not be the currency they once were, but I have three codes for 🔵sky if any mutuals would like one.

Hello! I have two free copies of the UK hardback of #SearchingforJuliet to give away! Like this post and I'll pick two accounts at random tomorrow. RTs much appreciated to give as many people a chance as possible! You don't need to be in the UK to join in.
Just popping back briefly to share a proud mum moment - the daughter matriculated in the rain today before starting her MPhil in Early Modern History @Catz_Cambridge. Think my rainbow brolly adds a cheerful touch!
Henry asks if I could look him in the eye if I gave that ridiculous Emerald Baby my credit card details. I could not, so I am beginning to pack up my little corner here…
As I pack my belongings and sweep the dust bunnies out of the corners, I would be delighted to see any of you over at that blue place with the sky, where I am @mspmeyer.bsky.social
I was at St John’s today for their lovely Douglas Adams exhibition - I can’t show you any of that because of copyright, so here’s a nice photo of the outside!
Absolute full marks for romance to the lady who proposed to her girlfriend in a punt as it approached the Bridge of Sighs at St John’s College this morning! And she said yes! (They are inadvertently in my photo, before I knew what was happening!)
Cleaned out the fridge, all sorts of odds and ends need eating, so who’s for a Brie and lemon curd sandwich?

If you think that the LAST thing the National Trust needs is Nigel Farage, a man who has caused so much division and destruction, then please vote against Restore Trust. You need 5 mins + your membership no. And please tell your friends. secure.cesvotes.com/V3-2-0/n…

My parents are visiting us for the first time in years tomorrow. My mother wilts in heat of anything over 20C. The temperatures for while they are here? 30-32C. Of course they are.
