The Michigan State University Department of Police and Public Safety (DPPS) is requesting the public's assistance in identifying two individuals who may be connected to multiple incidents involving stolen e-scooters, stolen e-bikes, and property damage in the Brody Neighborhood area.
Investigators have linked several reported incidents to the same individuals. In addition to thefts, property has been intentionally damaged when it could not be removed from the area.
MSU Police are actively investigating these incidents and pursuing all available leads. We are asking for the community's help in identifying the individuals pictured in these photos. Anyone with information related to these incidents or the identities of the individuals shown is asked to contact Lt. Aaron Schroeder at 517-432-6102 or [email protected].
Anonymous tips may be submitted by texting MSUPD to CRIMES (274637) or through Crime Stoppers of Mid-Michigan at 517-483-STOP (7867). If you witness suspicious activity or a crime in progress, call or text 911.

Sextortion is a growing online crime, and it can happen to anyone.
It occurs when someone threatens to share intimate images or videos unless you send money, more content, or do what they demand.
If someone is threatening you online:
• Stop responding
• Preserve evidence
• Report and block the account
• Ask for help
💚 You are not alone. Help is available.
Please share this post to help raise awareness.

ALT MSU DPPS online safety slide 1 of 4: Sextortion is when someone threatens to share intimate images of you unless you send money, more images, or meet their demands. It can happen on social media, dating apps, messaging or gaming. Never send intimate photos or videos. Swipe for warning signs. I left out the color and design details on purpose. Screen-reader users get more from the message than from "green background." If you send the other three slides, I'll write their alt text to match.

Scams are becoming more sophisticated and can happen anywhere, from social media platforms to text messages, unsolicited phone call, email, and payment apps. Protect yourself by remembering these tips:
• Job offers and payments: Don't accept job offers or money exchanges through unverified emails, GroupMe, or platforms with people you don't know.
• Payment apps: Scammers often request CashApp, Venmo, Zelle, or Apple Cash. Only send money to people you personally know and trust.
• Gift cards: No law enforcement agency, government agency, or anyone providing a good or service will ever demand payment with gift cards. If you receive this type of request, it is a scam.
• Checks: Never deposit checks sent to you through email or messaging apps.
• Messages: Don't accept message requests from unknown users.
• Passwords: Use strong, unique passwords — and never share them with anyone.
• Links: Be cautious clicking links in emails or messages from people you don't recognize.
• Phone calls: Law enforcement will NEVER call asking for payment over the phone.
If something feels off, it probably is. Trust your instincts and report suspicious activity to MSU DPPS or your local police department.

Together, we pushed a resistance sled one yard in honor of each life lost on September 11, 2001.
