Alex Egbuonu has hit 2 three-pointers off the bench, a promising development for the #mubb freshman. Have heard he's been really good in practice over the last few weeks.

But put another way, Nigel James will most likely out earn 3 years of Jamal Cain and 2 years of Kam Jones in the NBA just this year alone.

NIL money always sounds ridiculously out-of-hand at first glance until you realize Marquette’s (estimated) roster cost is the same price as one (1) year of Kenneth Walker

I always will take numbers like these with a grain of salt, but this feels about right for #mubb. Really good full read here.

CBS Sports relied on sourcing at every high-major program that included some mix of head coaches, assistants, ADs, GMs, agents or third-party NIL consultants. Here is the approximate average value of every power conference in 2026. cbssports.com/college-basket…

Biggest question from the season preview is seeing an early, promising answer so far. (Need a real game to happen like yesterday.) #mubb

These four combined for 26 pts (4-4 2PT, 4-7 3PT), 2 blocks, 4 assists / 3 TO / 4 steals, 13 boards and went to the line 10 times while only committing 4 fouls, in 57 minutes. We might have a bench, y’all. Let’s wait for real games, but…

With the caveat that this is just an exhibition and I did not see a minute of it, my takes: - Transfers look as good as advertised - If MU gets that level from Josh Clark all year, I’d sign for that right now - I’d cry tears of joy if #mubb shot from 3 like that all year

Know it’s an exhibition, but lot of good stuff jumps off the page here: • Nigel, Royce great • Fru, Minnesale, Clark, Porter highly efficient in their roles • Stevens 2 AST/1 TO, 5 REB, 6-6 FT - improved all-around impact • 60% 2PT, 56% 3PT; good AST, REB, FT% numbers

Seeing more Stevens impact outside scoring, Phillips productive & efficient, Porter doing exactly what we need (hits a 3, racks up 2 assists, grabs 2 boards, plays D all in 8 min) and same with Clark (20 min, 6&6 w 2 stl, 0 TO, drew 2 fouls) — all what we’d need to be great

Marquette had its first full dress rehearsal at UW-Green Bay. There was a lot to dig into: 🌟Nigel James Jr. is a certified star 🤔About that fifth starting spot 🔥Will hot shooting carry over to regular season? 🚧What des #mubb need to work on? jsonline.com/story/sports/co…

Nigel James Jr. helps Marquette beat UW-Green Bay in exhibition game

The Golden Eagles shot 14 for 24 on 3-pointers, and pulled away from the Phoenix in the second half.

If Porter is eligible, he gives #mubb an experienced PG to spell Nigel and a bench 3PT threat. That’s big. I wouldn’t expect Liberty-level production. In 124 games, just 10 were “A”-level — and his efficiency lessened across the board outside 3PT%. MU has 14 of those this year.

Overall, a great add and hopefully we’ll have clarity on the situation soon outside of random Twitter posters. (No shade to the posters, bc same)

Shaka Smart has built a roster with this Marquette team that should be good enough to make quite a bit of noise in the Big East. It's evidence as well that he can still run a program the way he wants to run a program. youtu.be/bbOGcnPk0RU youtu.be/bbOGcnPk0RU
