Sorry to depress anyone but I want to rant. Ableism is real, both overt and covert. People add to it without even meaning to or wanting to. And until a couple of years ago I was disillusioned to it.

I think we need to talk about the absolute joy of coming home from somewhere, taking your bra off, getting into your pyjamas and knowing you don’t have to go out again. There are few greater feelings.

do people realise that you can become disabled at any point? happened to me 10 years ago on a random day. Do you realise how heartbreaking it is to see a major political party with millions of voters literally not care if you live or die simply because you can’t work? fuck reform

In 2015, the UK introduced the 5p charge for plastic carrier bags. Back then, the minimum wage was £6.70 an hour, meaning one hour's work could buy 134 carrier bags. Fast forward to 2026. Minimum wage is £12.71 an hour, but carrier bags now cost around 40p each. That same hour of work now buys just 31 carrier bags. So while the price of carrier bags has increased by 700%, minimum wage has only gone up by around 90%. If minimum wage had kept pace with the price of carrier bags, it wouldn't be £12.71 today... It would be £53.60 an hour. Tell me again that wages have kept up with the cost of living.

In terms of buying power, a £25,000 salary in 1990 is the equivalent of earning around £75,000 today. A £25,000 salary in 2026? That's closer to having £8,500 back in 1990. But we're the ones who have it easy right?

It amazes me that some people are jealous of disabled people getting PIP... and yes i said 'jealous'. What kind of country do we live in where disabled people are demonised, vilified, made to feel guilty, like a common criminal for something that is beyond their control.

As if people are whingeing about a £2 bus cap because it ‘only’ affects a small demographic of people-you know people who regularly travel on buses are usually those on poorer incomes? Why is helping those poorer any kind of issue? We really are a bunch of selfish entitled pricks

It’s honestly depressing to see that it is mainly women ridiculing Marie-France van Heel (Burnham’s wife) for her choice of dress. One that she looks gorgeous in, by the way. It’s nasty, mean girl behaviour from sad individuals who seemingly believe we live in one big secondary school. Well, we don’t. Grow up.

You can do everything you're told. Work full time. Stay out of debt. Budget carefully. And still end up with almost nothing left by the middle of the month. That's become far too normal.

Controversial take but hear me out: I don’t think you have to share the same political views to think a 78 year old woman being bludgeoned to death in her own home is fucking awful

We've reached a point where too many people no longer see those they disagree with as fellow human beings, but as enemies to be silenced. That should concern every one of us. Disagreement is part of a healthy society. Threats, intimidation, and violence are not. No one should have to install CCTV, security gates, or live looking over their shoulder because of their beliefs, their work, or the opinions they express. No family should wonder whether the next threat is the one that will be acted upon. No child should grow up thinking that fear is simply the price of speaking your mind. I worry every time my husband receives another death threat. You never know whether it's just another cruel message or something far more serious. That uncertainty changes the way you live. It changes how you think about your home, your family, and your safety. Too often, people are labelled as divisive, racist, or bigoted without any meaningful discussion or attempt to understand someone's views, simply because they've expressed an opinion others disagree with or find uncomfortable. When people are relentlessly portrayed as beyond the pale, it literally creates a climate where hostility, threats, and intimidation become normal. The media are hugely complicit in amplifying that culture. Somewhere along the way, we've forgotten that it's possible to disagree passionately and still treat each other with decency. We've forgotten that the person across from us is someone's husband, wife, parent, child, or friend. It's time we found our way back. Back to respectful debate. Back to compassion. Back to loving our neighbour, even when we don't agree. Because if we lose our ability to disagree without hatred, we lose something far more important than any political argument, we lose our humanity. 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

Ann Widdecombe was an elderly woman living alone who has reportedly been murdered. Whether you agreed with her views or not, this is a truly horrific tragedy. I cannot believe some of the disgraceful comments I've seen on social media today. A woman has been violently attacked and killed, yet some people still can't show the most basic decency or humanity. Political differences should never outweigh compassion. A violent death is not something to celebrate or mock, and the lack of empathy on display highlights the state of our society. My heart goes out to her family & friends 💔

To all the vile, vile excuses for humanity who have been rejoicing at the death of Ann Widdecombe and are now considering how to backtrack: Don't bother deleting. Don't bother apologising. We all saw it. When people show you who they are, believe them.

🚨👉Peter Tatchell does NOT represent all gays. His post earlier about Ann Widdecombe is in my opinion vile. And yes, I am gay.

I suspect Ann Widdecombe would see the vile comments about her and say: ‘Oh well, they’re allowed to say what they like in a free country’. Whereas I think anyone who speaks ill of the dead, simply because you disagreed with them in life, is an utter arsehole.

That was the craziest 5 minutes of #ImACeleb in 25 years. I absolutely love the drama of live TV but David and Jimmy are EMBARRASSING themselves. To have Ant & Dec, the unbiased hosts, telling you you’re chatting shit? Pathetic. David is just a massive high school bully
