Everyone talks about Dubai's tax-free lifestyle.
Far fewer talk about paying a year's expenses upfront, struggling to get health insurance, finding clients as a start-up, or how quickly your cash disappears.
After my first month living in Dubai, here's the honest review I wish someone had shared with me before I moved.👇

Nigeria now has 0 Ebola cases as the patient and her husband have been evacuated to Switzerland.
The Swiss government really does take care of its own.
I just googled: how to become a Swiss citizen …
Earlier this morning, the Ebola patient in Nigeria and her contact, who is also her husband, were medically evacuated to Switzerland.
The reasons for the evacuation are:
✅ Both the patient and her husband are Swiss citizens.
✅ The patient is clinically stable. The Nigerian medical team successfully managed her through the acute phase of the illness and stabilized her condition.
On behalf of WHO and all partners, I warmly congratulate the Government of Nigeria, health workers, clinicians, emergency responders and all those involved in the response. This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to what Africa can accomplish when we work together.
With the evacuation of the patient and her husband, Nigeria currently has no Ebola cases.
However, vigilance remains critical. Nigeria will continue the close follow-up of 52 contacts, while Switzerland will assume responsibility for the continued management of the patient and the follow-up of contact number 53, her husband.
Congratulations once again to everyone involved. This is a proud moment demonstrating African expertise, resilience, and leadership in public health.

No entanto, é fundamental manter a vigilância.

Evacuated to where? Kenya?

I reckon this was the moment which changed the course of Brazilian history.
Flávio Bolsanaro threw away his lead after he mocked Lula losing his finger. It looks like corrupt mayors then tried to stop people voting in pro-Lula areas.. and the fascists still lost!

The demographic divide of the vote in the Brazil was so clear looking at the map of the results. Race, income and social status were on the ballot.
Why did Kenya decide to co-host AFCON weeks before the 10 August 2027 elections?
Are we supposed to join rallies on the off days?
I’m happy to juggle football and politics and extend my stay in Kenya.
