Incredible story.
A guy in Newport Beach makes $380,000 a year and his daughter goes to USC on a low-income financial aid grant He didn't lie on a single form He just used Chase and Amex to legally make himself look broke the year before she applied Most high earners get slaughtered by college tuition because they don't understand how universities calculate whether you're "rich" When your kid applies for financial aid, the government formula looks at two things: your Adjusted Gross Income from your tax return two years earlier, and how much cash is sitting in your personal bank accounts on the day you submit the form If you have $380,000 of business profit on your tax return and $180,000 sitting in a personal savings account, USC expects you to write a $92,000 check out of pocket every year This guy's CPA had him run three legal plays in December of his daughter's sophomore year of high school: 1st: Instead of leaving $180,000 sitting in his personal checking account where the financial aid formula penalizes it, he used that cash to pay down the mortgage on his primary house (the federal FAFSA formula ignores home equity on the house you live in) 2nd: He took his 750 credit score and opened $220,000 in 0% APR business credit cards under his LLC's tax ID across Chase, Amex, US Bank, and Wells Fargo 3rd: Before December 31st, he swiped all $220,000 of the bank's 0% money on two heavy commercial work vans (over 6,000 lbs so Section 179 writes off 100% of them on day one), prepaid vendor contracts, and a full year of equipment Under IRS rules, business expenses paid with a credit card are 100% deductible the day you swipe the card, even though you don't owe the bank a dime of interest for 15 months Those 0% card swipes legally dropped his taxable Adjusted Gross Income from $380,000 down to $43,500 during the exact base year the university checked When the financial aid office pulled his file, they saw a family making $43,500 with $1,900 in personal checking and $0 in personal credit card debt (because EIN business cards only report to commercial bureaus) His daughter got $68,000 a year in need-based grants, which is $272,000 of free tuition over 4 years, and his business cash flow paid the 0% cards off ten months later (if you have a 700+ credit score and want my team to sequence and unlock your 150k-250k 0% funding stack under an EIN, book a call using the link in my bio)

A personal word about Archbishop Grob: Having worked in the Archdiocese of Chicago for nearly 30 years, I know +Jeff Grob. He was a renowned pastor, judicial vicar, and Auxiliary Bishop to Cardinal Cupich. He is one of the most kind, humble, and sincere individuals I have known. This political environment is toxic and he found himself in a really bad situation. I accept his heartfelt apology, and am hopeful others will too.

Assuming you guys crushed them? 😉
Notre Dame is everyone’s favorite to win the College Football Playoffs and have just a 3 point lead on Wisconsin at the half 😬

Interesting @NDFootball 2026 Schedule Update!! As of the current @AP poll, ND has 4 teams on its schedule ranked in the Top 25: Miami (1), BYU (8), SMU (19), and Wisconsin (25). Just in the top 10, that is the same number of ranked teams as: @GeorgiaFootball @AlabamaFTBL Just in the top 10, that is MORE than: @CanesFootball (1) @OhioStateFB (3) @IUHoosiers (2) @Utah_Football (3) @UCLAFootball (1) @BYUfootball (2) Only @UKFootball has more than the Irish (5). Perhaps the talking heads at @ESPN or on @CollegeGameDay can stop with their season-long narrative that ND doesn’t play anyone. Zero facts to support that contention, just 100% bias designed to relegate the Irish to a “2 game season”…when it clearly is not! @ChildersRadio @GregMcElroy @NDFootballPR @bruce_straughan

Milwaukee’s Archbishop Grob: “I feel a heavy sadness, not only over the pain I caused, but also for the fact that something so sacred to a group of religious leaders, prayer to our Heavenly Father, would be manipulated in that way. We came in good faith to try to work for the betterment of our fellow human beings, to ease their suffering, to build up the common good, and to pray with a president, not to pose for a political photo opportunity to benefit the few. We should never have been put in that position by the White House. I did not go without reservations. I wish I had heeded them. Please know that I have heard these concerns, understand how I caused them, and I apologize for any damage my actions have done.” archmil.org/posts/a-public-a…

Surely we are nearing the end for Riley. Oregon was embarrassed too. The geography of the B1G is difficult for these West Coast guys. Will be interesting to follow UCLA now. Imagine a team that has traveled like that for 100 years. Commerical air flight has helped.☘️
Notre dame mogs USC even after USC refuses to play us 😂

Since Obama is back on the stump today, here’s your reminder of the best political speech of my lifetime. If you haven’t heard it or haven’t heard it in a while, enjoy getting fired up and ready to go. 👊🏼 🌊

Brutal.
Barack Obama decided to hit Pete Hegseth with the elbow from the top rope. Absolutely brutal takedown.

Here is George Clooney’s response after Trump accused him of being a "Hollywood elite." "Here’s the thing: I grew up in Kentucky. I sold insurance door-to-door. I sold ladies’ shoes. I worked at an all-night liquor store. I would buy suits that were too big and too long and cut the bottom of the pants off to make ties so I’d have a tie to go on job interviews. I grew up understanding what it was like to not have health insurance for eight years. So this idea that I’m somehow the “Hollywood elite” and this guy who takes a shit in a gold toilet is somehow the man of the people is laughable. People in Hollywood, for the most part, are people from the Midwest who moved to Hollywood to have a career. So this idea of “coastal elites” living in a bubble is ridiculous. Who lives in a bigger bubble? He lives in a gold tower and has twelve people in his company. He doesn’t run a corporation of hundreds of thousands of people he employs and takes care of. He ran a company of twelve people! When you direct a film you have seven different unions all wanting different things, you have to find consensus with all of them, and you have to get them moving in the same direction. He’s never had to do any of that kind of stuff. I just look at it and I laugh when I see him say “Hollywood elite.” Hollywood elite? I don’t have a star on Hollywood Boulevard, Donald Trump has a star on Hollywood Boulevard! Fuck you!" - George Clooney actor, philanthropist, humanitarian & activist

Notre Dame has played 18 ranked opponents in the regular season since the start of 2022 (the Freeman era). That's more than Georgia (17), Ohio State (15), Miami (10), Indiana (10), BYU (10), Texas Tech (14), etc. Comparable with Alabama (21), Texas (20), etc.
I did not expect to go down a Notre Dame schedule rabbit hole yesterday, but a friend who is a ND supporter had reached out wondering what ND SOS might be since Marcus Freeman took over. I couldn't generate that for them, but I did dig this up for them...

One of the coolest parts of football is watching coordinators try scheme up answers to things they see on tape Notre Dame sees this blitz from BYU vs Iowa State, and then Denbrock comes up with the perfect counter ⬇️

Millions of viewers knew the game was not over, but the paid officials did not. Was there alcohol in the replay booth? These are errors that cannot be made. B12 officials are school teachers who to not file grades, city bus drivers who run red lights. Nationalize the officials before next season. Reorganize; zero base the personnel and rehire. Investigate the B12 crew assigned to ND vs BYU. Evaluate the B12 Coordinator of Football Officials.
The officials' calls matter – so get them right.

To my Notre Dame friends and fans—thank you for putting up with all the insufferable BYU fans today (me included). Please take it as the greatest sign of respect how much this win meant to all of us. You are the big brother and the gold standard. Visiting South Bend last year was a dream come true—a true football cathedral. Football fans everywhere aspire to earn the arrogance that you have earned (and I mean that with admiration and respect). You have an incredible coach and team, so please win out. We will be cheering for you the rest of the way. Oh, and sorry about not getting one last play. I would have enjoyed watching Carr sail another pass over his receiver…(am I doing it right?😂)

The Big 12 has released a statement saying one second should have been put back on the clock after CJ Carr's pass to Jaden Greathouse fell incomplete. "Following the Big 12's review of the final play of Saturday's Notre Dame-BYU game, it was determined that time remained on the clock when the ball hit the ground and the play was incorrectly cleared by the replay officiating crew. The Conference will conduct a complete review of its end-of-game officiating process in advance of next week's games."
