Today’s PHP security risks got me thinking about how I could have been more vulnerable with you. Perhaps we can patch things up and be there 4 one another.
turns out; GLM really stood for 够了吗 (had enough?)

10/10 no notes. music videos used to be about women in different colored rooms. and it was so important
If taste is "solvable" for in design - ignoring the harder visual parts of it first - why hasn't microcopy been solved? How are LLMs, distinctly able to write decent code, falter at understanding features/ideas and distilling them into good labels?

As you invite more agents to our work, and create software factories to be more productive than ever, you’ll soon outsource everything to an agent, even the thinking.
The work you will do will feel frictionless, it will feel amazing on the surface, but once you go a bit deeper, it’ll feel extremely shallow. It won’t reflect the struggles you went through, your decisions, and ideas.
It will no longer remind you of you and the work you aspire to.
You will turn into just another extremely efficient producer of things, but not a creator like you were before.
Invite friction to your work.

This is free advice from an expensive psychologist. If you’re an anxious person, do everything for fun. Go to a job interview for fun. Submit documents for fun. Start a blog for fun. Anxiety feeds on importance. Don’t make everything a matter of life and death.
heartwarming: legacy firm still does not invented here syndrome the old-fashioned way
Talked to a finance guy today who said his firm has not only totally stopped buying software in favor of building it all in-house, they've actually hired multiple SWEs to do the buildouts, even though their salaries cost more than the subscription fees they were paying. Having tools custom-built for their specific business is just that valuable. So they're not spending less money or saving time, versus the pre-AI world, but they're getting a much higher return on the money and time they are spending. Much to ponder
this video reads like cognitive surrender propaganda; OAI isn't great at delineating between thought partner and crutch
as a marginally AuDHD person fantasy trip-planning was indeed one of my joyous ways of procrastination; i've never had trouble booking flights months in advance optimized for price, mileage earn and the like
unfortunately after LLMs I've been rather terrible at this now
