Most able bodied people aren’t afraid of becoming disabled because they believe the system will support them. That doctors will work night and day to figure out what’s wrong when they’ll most likely tell you it’s just anxiety.

“Bottom 60%” is a funny way of saying the majority.

The irony being, which not many seem to know, is Pilates was designed for disabled war vets to be able to be done from a bed with spring mechanisms as resistance.

All anti-mask laws—even those with so called “medical exceptions”—stigmatize mask-wearing.
Fewer people wearing masks increases the spread of infectious diseases.
No matter how lawmakers try to spin it, any law that criminalizes wearing a mask endangers public health. Period.

Disabled people are forced to experience a harsh reality that you think you have the luxury to ignore.
Disability is universal & inevitable.
Disabled people are resilient as fuck, out of necessity.
It shouldn’t take you becoming disabled to start listening to disabled people.

This. This. This.
As a disabled person who is unable to work publicly, tiktok has been a main source of income the past couple years.
What about the small business owners who are losing their platforms they worked so hard to build?
If y’all can’t understand that, you’re lost.

It is OK to cancel plans if you are sick.
It is far better than making others sick, who will make others sick & so on & so forth until -- at multiple points in that chain of transmission -- someone becomes permanently disabled or further disabled or dead.
You can prevent that.

It’s not. If disabled people themselves want to use a different term, that’s up to them, not you.

If y’all hate disabled people so much, why are you trying as hard as you can to become one???
Repeat covid infections will disable you.
…if you’re lucky.

And if I said y’all already live by the motto “your body, my choice” by existing maskless in public spaces and determining other people’s health for them by spreading covid wherever you go?
25% of all covid infections have no symptoms, but all infections cause damage. Mask up.

I wish I could explain how chronic pain chips away at your personality, your ambition, your mood, every facet of your life. It can feel quite torturous, very Groundhog Day. The symptoms may change but they all suck. And they chip chip chip…
