Riot took away a clove meta from us..
I keep seeing this take that the level of play was "low" at Champs. I think everyone is still failing to understand what a meta is.
In this meta utility was deprioritized so the level of util combos and set plays went down. Mechanics, contact popping and tempo shifting was prioritized and everyone got much better at those specific things.
Agents that could brawl and snowball small advantages into bigger ones took center stage. Next year I'm sure a different set of skills will be important and a different set of Agents will rise up in popularity. Except Omen. Omen is eternal.

- the new rifle is ass
- you still cant queue from the range
- the new homescreen is okay
- agent mastery is nothingburger
- the ranked reward is nothingburger
- but the new gamemode is actually really fun if they can optimize it a bit better for PC performance
