BROMANCE IS HOMOPHOBIA! For some time now, we’ve been witnessing the growing presence of bromance in the company’s lineups. Today, everything became even clearer: the number has TRIPLED. We will use our voices to push the hashtag #StopBromanceGMMTV. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS. We don’t want implications and teasing. We want genuine LGBTQ+ relationships represented on screen. WE are the customers. Production companies exist to meet the demands of THE AUDIENCE that consumes, supports, and sustains their productions. WE ARE NOT OBLIGATED to accept whatever they choose to give us, let alone applaud setbacks like this. Either you take action NOW, ENGAGE, AND DEMAND CHANGE, or don’t be surprised when half of next year’s lineup is filled with stories that remain stuck in the realm of “what if”, with no courage to embrace what they keep hinting at. Enough disrespect toward fans who wait YEARS for these productions, only to receive stories that refuse to deliver what they promise, while BL productions are being reduced in number and offered in a rather peculiar and limited quality. And that’s when they get anything at all. How many BL ships were left out today? The trend is clear, and there’s only one direction this is heading. WE WILL NOT FUND INVISIBILITY.
