Jesuit priest, Fr. James Keenan, and former president of the Catholic Theological Society of America, praises theologians advancing “queer natural law” against “gender essentialism,” then says, while promoting "transgender identity" in Catholic theology:
“Flora Tang makes clear…that the saints are often themselves instructive as queer saints.”

From @WSJFreeEx: What’s happening at Harvard mirrors a larger shift. Each generation since the mid-20th century has been less religious than the one before, but Gen Z is different. Young Catholics today are particularly devout, writes @mj_koch.

On September 12, the Harvard Catholic Forum held an event on “Christian Nihilism and Romanticism” at which I spoke, with an excellent response by Fr. Nathaniel Sanders, the Harvard undergraduate chaplain.
Today my talk, “Three Mistakes About Power and Justice,” is posted @thenewdigest. Fr. Sanders’ response will run tomorrow.
Enjoy!

On September 12, in company with the most excellent Fr. Nate Sanders, Harvard undergraduate chaplain, I’ll be doing a seminar on “The Crisis of Nihilism” at the Harvard Catholic Forum on September 12. I’ll offer a critique of nihilism about law and the rule of law, broadly understood.
Open to undergraduates, graduate students and young professionals. Registration link below. Hope to see some of you there!

After 7 months, I finally moved my things out of my old seminary room. What some may call procrastination, I prefer to describe as a Napoleonic reluctance to concede territory until all other options have been exhausted.
It seems the whole point of running a marathon is to tell people you ran a marathon. So, I ran a marathon.
Today is my 25th First-Day-Of-School as a student (honestly). I know it's a bit much, but here are some things I have learned along the way: (thread 1/x)
