AB landowner Mark Dorin has been waiting months for a response from the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) re. sour gas venting on his land.
AER’s mandate is to “regulate the safe, responsible, and efficient development of Alberta's energy and minerals resources.” Waiting……
Armisie No. 2 well, City of Edmonton. Subject to @AER_news Suspension Order 202604-009.
Here’s what I found May 9. I also think there could be a surface casing vent flow.

The actions taken in Edmonton by me and others clearly show that the Alberta government and its various agencies prioritize illegal, trespassing unsafe oil and gas over the rights of landowners to be safe and to earn income from their land.
That’s a problem for all landowners.
Does the Alberta gov budget include the 100s billions $$ liability carried by Alberta taxpayers b/c Alberta gov does not enforce law that O&G companies clean up their mess?
Replying to @MondoABx
Let’s add a couple items:
-Require the orphan well fund to pay the property taxes of defunct operators.
-Require orphan well costs fully funded annually.
-Require O&G spend 10-$15 billion a year to get cleanups done within 10 years not 100 years.

#ForeverCanadian woke up a sleeping giant…
I am glad to see Albertans taking Alberta back and using their voice.
@CorbLund you can do it!
Even if #AbGov rescinds the recall and citizen initiative legislations, the movement won’t be stopped.

Albertans are getting screwed.
A quarter-billion in unpaid property taxes. Countless billions more in environmental liabilities. And an energy regulator that can't be trusted.

It must be a strange, dystopian time in Calgary, like someone has turned the city into a giant rez. Of course, if you’ve never been to a First Nation, you wouldn’t know what it is like to live without clean water – heck, any water – coming out of your taps theglobeandmail.com/opinion/…
