What an encouraging week @pillarnetwork. Humbled the Lord sees fit to use this band of brothers. “Come, my Lord, no longer tarry
Bring Thy promises to pass
For I know Thy pow’r will keep me
Till I’m home with Thee at last”
So grateful to get to serve the @pillarnetwork as we seek to start and strengthen churches together. Prayers appreciated as 1000+ of pastors and leaders gather this week… and as I get ready to preach on what OG Baptist Benjamin Keach calls “The Last and Great Commission of our Savior”
“Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.’”
He already had me with Michael Scott reference. But this is a helpful article on CN here (I know, I know there are differing versions but some significant overlap as well among some of the key proponents) especially from a brother who clearly cares about where our culture is headed, abortion, LGBTQ issues, etc., but just disagrees with the solutions and means of the current project.
Michael Scott thought he could declare bankruptcy by yelling it across the office.
A lot of the Christian nationalism conversation works the same way: Say it loud enough, post about it often enough, and surely it becomes real.
It doesn't.
I explain why the Christian nationalism conversation has run its course in my latest @WNGdotorg column.

Well done Dad! Today is his last day as President at SEBTS. Here is what I said about him at his retirement (video) and I’ve tried to summarize below:
We have often said he is our hero, almost a legend in our minds, and it’s become increasingly clear, that’s not just in our minds. Recently, someone asked one of your childhood friends if those stories of his baseball prowess in HS were true. His response was, “Your dad? What was he? about 6’2”, 190 pounds, throwing over 90mph with movement
Now, we know our dad is not 6’2… he’s told us many times he reached 5’9 in MS, and then just stopped growing. But here’s what is true dad: You have been 6’2, honestly more like 7’2, in our lives, by your presence, by your influence, by your leadership, and by your example.
And it’s been a joy to watch the man we esteem so deeply build our family (with four sons all serving the Lord & building ministries) and a Great Commission Seminary.
As conservatively, just internationally alone, over 1600 missionaries from SEBTS have gone through the International Mission Board… some of them to the toughest places of the World, carrying with them, a strong commitment to: exclusivity of Christ, Penal substitution, inerrancy, Expository preaching, Baptist doctrine, convictional/cheerful complementarianism both in the home & in the Church, & urgent missiology!
He’s done it all with that smile, while maintaining something that is far rarer than success: his integrity… being in private who he is in public.
But as I reflect on his retirement, what our family is eternally grateful for, is that he always pointed away from himself to Christ… telling us so often, “I do not care what you do when you grow up, just as long as you please Jesus!” This is what we are trying to pass on to our physical and spiritual children… to teach them to love Christ, His Church and His Commission.
Because those will be lives marked by what’s most important. And that’s why as he closes this portion of his ministry assignment, he is still a legend… and it is why, even though dad may not even be 5’9 anymore, he will always be 7’2 to us

What you see on screen is who they strive to be off screen.
Garrett Hilbert shares that one of the goals of @dudeperfect has always been authenticity. They want the way they treat one another, love people, and conduct their work to reflect the gospel.
A platform can entertain people. A faithful life can point them to Christ.
