If you follow markets, understanding perps is worth your time.
Perps let you trade an asset’s price without owning it or dealing with an expiry date. Funding payments help keep that price aligned with the underlying market.
This is part of why I’m focused on Hyperliquid.
Builders are taking a structure familiar to crypto traders and applying it to oil, gold and equities.
The relevance extends well beyond crypto.

If you’re launching a points program after Papertrade, you’re already behind.
I’ll probably never farm another points program again. No points, no vague promises, no waiting months to find out what your activity was worth.
Tokens straight to your wallet. Adopt or die.

We just made Grand Theft Oslo, and added the new @Tesla Roadster to it 😅🚀
Full city, made from real map data, and the Sloyd MCP (coming soon) with Opus 5.5:
- map from OpenStreetMap
- official maps (Kartverket)
- road markings, curbs, sidewalks, crossings from the Road Authorities (Vegvesenet),
- it even has the correct city bike stations from Oslo Bysykkel 🤣
I love how it even added the side boosters for steering.
Amazing work from our intern Martin Truong, who got inspired from the GTA Helsinki version by @labasaari 👏
WDYT @elonmusk?

Hyperliquid is unlike any other crypto endeavor I can think of.
It’s not another memecoin casino. It’s a focused endeavor to re-architect finance and it’s the one where people are trading oil perps 24/7. It’s not a household name, but it’s caught up to Sol in USDC issuance

Hyperliquid founder Jeffrey Yan told Bloomberg that U.S. regulatory oversight should apply to the firms using the blockchain, not to the underlying network itself.
“We’re not trying to displace anything,” Yan said. “In fact, I think the technology can benefit everyone who currently operates markets in a more traditional setting.”
Companies operating trading markets on Hyperliquid should be responsible for meeting regulatory requirements, much like financial firms using internet infrastructure, Yan said Thursday in a Bloomberg interview.

Thank you to @TheStalwart and @tracyalloway for having me on! Appreciate the research that went into the thoughtful questions and discussion.
We derived some interesting results live about how mechanisms such as HIP-3* ought to work. This wasn't scripted and reflects close listening and quick learning by the hosts. I was impressed and enjoyed the conversation.
