Waited until our team crossed the border (back into UA) before commenting on this report, which got me pulled off air yesterday...
But viewers should be aware of the perils and pitfalls of reporting from Russian-occupied Ukraine, where information is tightly controlled and independent journalism faces serious constraints.
.@Shelby_Wilder of Newsmax on Russia’s Oleshky stint:
“Russia is using this humanitarian operation as a propaganda opportunity.
Moscow wants to portray itself as the rescuer of civilians in a city that it occupies, one it has destroyed and plunged into this humanitarian crisis.
And we need to be clear, Russia controls what we are going to be allowed to see.
Moscow appears to have brought in numerous Russian media compared to just the one American news outlet.”

NEW: UK Foreign Secretary @Ed_Miliband has told Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov that he and his government are responsible for killing innocent civilians, condemning Thursday’s attack on Dnipro railway station
Speaking directly to Lavrov at a meeting of G20 foreign ministers in the US today, Miliband said:
"Let me say this directly to the Russian Foreign Minister: we all know who the aggressor in this war is. Let's talk about what happened at Dnipro railway yesterday. Only yesterday your drones attacked and killed 15 people. And there are countless examples like this of you killing innocent civilians throughout this war. We all know you are the aggressor. We all know you started this war four and a half years ago with the full scale invasion of Ukraine. "
"And Putin thought then he would win this war easily. But you are are not winning this war. Thanks to the courage of the Ukrainian people and the solidarity of countries round this table, you are not winning. If you had the courage to tell the truth and to do what is right you would tell Putin that he is not winning this war and will not win."

There are at least 11 separate fires at the Novokuybyshevsk Oil Refinery.
Our pleas have been heard, and now they’ve started to take out the entire refinery in a single strike, rather than just one unit.

The US is willing to betray its closest allies in Europe, a market of 450 million people and an economy worth nearly $20 trillion, just to cut shady, corrupt deals with Putin's Russia, an economy roughly the size of Italy's.
What an absolutely insane foreign policy.

🎯 Russia is a failed nation, a terror state, a mafia pretending to be a country, a people infected with an imperial virus, a gas station with nukes that barely has any gas left, a Chinese vassal that needs perpetual war to stay intact. It should be quarantined, not elevated.
This has been Putin's dream for years: That his country, with GDP per capita lower than Poland, unable to conquer Donbas since 2014, will be treated as an equal to the US and China.

"Zelensky has not earned a respite on the battlefield," says war criminal Lavrov.
Lavrov, however, has already earned a front-row seat at the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression.
The more irrelevant and cynical comments — the more evidence for the Tribunal.

Absolutely nothing.

Only Trump can save Putin. Goodbye to US sanctions. Every GOP running for office must be confronted with this egregious act of supporting genocidal war in Ukraine, especially at the moment when Putin shifted all his fire power to killing civilians.
Trump saves the day for Putin. Just as Ukraine was changing the direction of the war by inflicting real economic pain on Putin by hitting his oil refineries, Trump steps in and agrees to buy Russian diesel. Now Trump can say that Ukraine is bombing American interests and they better stop. Up until today, there was a real chance of an unspoken aerial cease fire if Russian could no longer tolerate the pain, but that has now disappeared

The United States is now officially allied with Vladimir Putin and Russia. We will fund Russia’s genocidal war machine in exchange for Putin helping Trump and the Republican Party in the midterms. One of the most shameful and disgusting days in the history of this Republic.

Today, Russian propagandist and war criminal Mikhail Zvinchuk—head of the "Rybar" analytical center—was arrested in Montenegro.
Zvinchuk had traveled to the Balkans to film war propaganda. A few days earlier in Serbia, he filmed a segment calling for Russian drone strikes against European ships in the Polish port of Gdynia.
So, the Russian propagandist had come to Europe to film videos about how Russia should attack and wage war against Europe.🤷♂️
@sikorskiradek You might find this interesting. I ask my Polish friends to share this information

You mean those 2,500 civilians were killed by a permanent member of the UN Security Council, whom you refused to name in your headline?
Russia killed those people.
Nearly 2,500 civilians killed or injured by aerial glide bombs in Ukraine's frontline regions in just 8 months – 62% more than last year.
@volker_turk urges States with influence to push for peace “before this tragedy becomes even worse”.
