Pond clean out last weekend. Now waiting for the frogspawn as the weather warms up. #wildlifepond #frogs
Every time I look there’s more. Started with 8, then 10, now 11! In a small half-barrel pond.
But, EVEN MORE EXCITING … a dragonfly. Maybe an emperor(?) or other hawker.

First cuckoo, nightingales and swallow of the year, plus one of @kneppwilding storks feeding.

Found this stowaway. Might have come out of the buddleia when I was planting up a few pots for the car boot. Tucked it away from the heat and hope it made the journey back but haven’t seen it since. #MullienMoth #caterpillar
Liberated a few hundred froglets from my neighbour’s pond. Didn’t take them long to get out of my two little ponds. Now need to tread carefully when I go out as they hopping about everywhere! #froglets #amphibians #smallgardenpond
