The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…

– at Meguro-ku, Tokyo

It’s hard to pin this alone as a failed state mistake. At some point, all the neighbors need to address the borderless impacts of forest burning aggravated by global warming. Plus, it’s not tourists who suffer the most, it’s local residents who have to endure months on ends.
Every single visitor to Singapore this week should be told that the haze originates from Indonesia. Explain to them how an incompetent state fails to prevent deliberate slash and burn land clearing fires. Humiliate and shame Indonesia on the world stage. No better time than now , when the entire global business and tourist community are in Singapore. When the cameras are broadcasting F1 to the world , make sure the commentators mention “The Indonesian Government has failed to prevent this toxic haze “. Do it frequently Let the world see the incompetence of Indonesia with their own eyes.

This isn't talked about much in the media but there's been massive fires burning in Indonesia since mid-summer and much of the rest of Southeast Asia has been looking like this 👇 for weeks. The "haze", as it's called, has gotten so bad in Malaysia that the King just called for schools to close (nst.com.my/news/nation/2026/…)

NEW: According to a bombshell report in the New York Times, Anthropic co-founder Chris Olah threatened to walk out of Pope Leo XIV’s AI encyclical launch in May because the pope rejected the idea that machines can be conscious. Olah’s team then privately lobbied the pope’s advisers “to take the possibility of model consciousness seriously.” Pope Leo XIV held firm. For months, Anthropic has wined and dined theologians and religious scholars under nondisclosure agreements, hoping they would bless the idea that Claude has moral standing. thelettersfromleo.com/p/nyt-…
