Some people are passionate about some things, my brother @nazyfat is passionate about everything he’s got interest in. That reflected in the level of excellence displayed by @applebeefc off and on field last season @LagosLiga .
Often radiating the exemplary standards of their founder, Applebee step in as one of the favourites to share the N100m prize money.
They return for an unprecedented second run at the prestigious tournament. Chairman Nazy!

Random confession. I have been trying unsuccessfully to steal David "Professor" Onuche (best player from 2024 Lagos Liga) from @nazyfat and his @applebeefc

The Best Player in @LagosLiga so far 😌😌🐝🐝🐝
David Onuche. He has dominated across all the major metrics. Almost Messi level dominance of a tournament.
Arguably the best player at @LagosLiga so far.
I don’t expect him to be playing amateur football by the end of 2025. One of the reasons I will be at Onikan tomorrow for the quarterfinals. Exceptional talent.

Jarus FC 2 Applebee 4. @nazyfat appears to have built prime Barcelona here. @SirJarus will be looking to pick a point from the penalties.

Lagos Liga will be the first league in Nigeria, of any kind, where all the players will earn a registration allowance. All the 192 players in the league will receive the same amount of money paid through their clubs.
The payment will be strictly for the players.
This is being worked out and will be discussed with the clubs.
Whether or not you play, whether you played for the champion or you dropped out at the group stage, each registered player will earn an equal sum for being in the league.
Football is first and foremost about the players and we will show that in every way. And this is only a start.
Payment will be publicly made at the Invitation Only Partners & Champions Awards Dinner to close the season.
PS: This is separate from the N50m for the champions.
