The Wayans/In Living Color being the reason we have the Super Bowl halftime shows we know today is Black History.
Because they stole MILLIONS of viewers during halftime in 1992, the NFL said “nah.. can’t have that” and got Michael Jackson to perform the next year LMAO

Much love to Alex Pretti and Renee Good—but remember—ICE has killed 9 people in 2026. You know the names of the 2 white people they've killed.
ICE has also killed a Black man named Keith Porter, a Cambodian named Parady La, and five Latinos named Heber Sanchaz Domínguez, Victor Manuel Diaz, Luis Beltran Yanez-Cruz, Luis Gustavo Nunez Caceres, and Geraldo Lunas Campos.
ICE is on pace to kill more than 100 people this year. Abolish ICE. Impeach Noem. Prosecute those who committed these crimes.

This is a devastating blow for those of us who value the arts & culture. Netflix has shown zero commitment to the theatrical experience, zero interest in preserving & promoting classic films. We're in desperate need of anti-trust legislation to prevent monopolies such as this.
Netflix has won the bidding war to purchase Warner Bros. Discovery.
They are now entering exclusive deal talks, with Netflix offering $30 a share and a $5 billion break-up fee.
The sale is not yet finalized, as the U.S. Department of Justice could also interfere due to anti-trust concerns.

Unpopular book opinions I will always stand by:
-audiobooks count as reading
-rereads are as important as new reads
-books are for everyone, you just have to find the right one for you
-not finishing a book doesn’t mean you’ve failed, it means you’ve chosen your happiness

Whole ecosystems of educational kids' books have disappeared. The books on myth, movies, foreign cultures that made us culturally literate, all replaced by devices that don't teach kids anything. We had near-universal literacy and we gave it up. We are regressing rapidly.

We went from “what good are the humanities?” to “suddenly, no one can read” in about a year, and it's no coincidence that we're suddenly awash in misinformation and lack of critical thinking. This is WHY we need the humanities. This is what they prevent.
