scara’s weapon actually has a lot of significant associations and references to his lore, so here’s a 🧵exploring that:

genshin leaks — this was heavily foreshadowed in 1.1 with unreconciled stars. leonard's constellation, implied to be associated to his soul, (“unbelievable amount of...human desire") is what led scara to realize that the stars & the sky were a “gigantic hoax, a lie” ↓

🚨 STORY LEAKS/SPOILERS 🚨 Being an Allogene, ascending to Celestia and becoming a god is a lie. Celestia is using visions to filter souls and uses these souls to sustain the false sky, which is made up by souls who had visions when they were alive. Via Full Stop Chan & HXG ❄️

character visions would start flashing near the meteorite shards that made up leonard’s constellation in the event. the meteorite shards also emitted elemental energy, as visions similarly do. the “certain energy” that resonated with the visions was likely a property of the soul:

unreconciled stars especially emphasizes that the meteorites (aka: a constellation) is a “curse.” rules created by divinity in teyvat consist of curses. in this case, this curse would be part of a rule created by the heavenly principles:

genshin leaks — it has been implied in-game that the lunar authorities enabled dottore to likely detect the presence of the souls maintaining the firmament:

[LEAKS?!] dottore calling vision holders “self-inflated tools” right after mentioning their supposed chance at godhood… if celestia actually uses their souls to build the false sky, that line could be far more literal than we thought. how much did he KNOW? MY GOAT WEBBY?

it strikes as a bit absurd for the organization to directly empower a “monster” and provide him with the very means to carry out his crimes and then proceed to separate itself from the said crimes, the man, and play at not being complicit

it is not an issue when this separation is written into the narrative as a calculated political maneuver, as was the case of pulcinella in 6.6, it is an issue when it is pushed to sell the other harbingers and absolve the fatui and its harbingers of wrongdoing
