One of the coolest things about working behind the scenes on one of the world's largest web platforms is seeing this kind of work happen.
All WordPress and WooCommerce sites hosted by Automattic are already protected against the recently disclosed PHP security vulnerabilities. Our teams worked closely with the PHP Security Team to make sure protections were in place as quickly as possible.
That's the kind of engineering work that often goes unnoticed, but makes a massive difference at scale. 🙂
This was a bad one. It was soooo nice not having to worry about my personal site through all this.
Also a good reminder, folks, to make sure who ever you host with is running the latest version of PHP. Woo works on older versions but y'all really should update.
The PHP project has announced a security release that fixes two critical security vulnerabilities discovered in PHP. Store owners are encouraged to immediately update their installations of PHP. developer.woocommerce.com/?p…

I missed last week's roundup because I was eating 🦃 and enjoying 🇨🇦 thanksgiving with my fam. But I'm back this week with a list of merged to WooCommerce core.
There were over 150 PRs merged last week! Here's a few...
Nice translation fix where product, Cart and Checkout block names and descriptions use the editor's language where translations are available, instead of unexpectedly appearing in English.
