We've received $7.5 million in follow-on funding from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), reflecting the strength of our partnership and the value of our full-stack approach. The Phase 2 contract with AFRL expands upon the first-generation quantum network we previously delivered in Rome, New York, adding advanced optical, hardware, and software layers for real-world deployment. “We are building quantum networking that runs on standard telecom infrastructure and through open air, and proving it on a live network,” said @jordan_shapiro, IonQ President, Quantum Platform. It’s a beautiful day to set sail with the next pieces of Neutron flight hardware to Launch Complex 3. Earlier today we sent Neutron’s Stage 2 and Thrust Module out of the Neutron Factory and onto a barge for transport through Chesapeake Bay to Wallops Island in Virginia. Once it arrives, the Thrust Module will go straight onto the launch mount at LC-3 for check outs and the beginning of wider systems demonstrations including integrated fluids tests and module-to-launch-mount interface checkouts. With no strongback on the launch mount by design, Neutron’s Thrust Module is the rocket’s only physical interface to the launch pad, which this upcoming test campaign enables us to test early before the entire vehicle comes together.

$IonQ Hoping to share a detailed report all our data is pointing towards indicating the @IonQ acquisition of @ElisityInc was not just the right move NOW, but what that means NOW with respect to short-term and long-term revenue. There’s so much more here than the market realizes.

$IONQ We strongly favor this acquisition and believe it will significantly accelerate IonQ's growth and substantially increase shareholder value over a short period of time. Elisity gives IonQ the one security layer it lacked and puts a quantum-safe market worth about $36–65 billion by 2030 within its reach. More than two dozen countries and blocs have deadlines approaching: U.S. agencies must file migration plans by October 22, the EU and Saudi Arabia's banks start by the end of 2026, and Swiss banks are expected to have roadmaps by mid-2027. The collar caps dilution, and we believe it is outweighed by Elisity's own recurring revenue, which IonQ says is doubling every year, and by new revenue from selling IonQ's quantum-safe products to Elisity's customers. The details of the merit and potential shareholder value are found in the data we will present in the forthcoming report. The value is substantial … and in the details forthcoming.

Elisity has entered into an agreement to be acquired by IonQ (@IonQ_Inc) to accelerate Zero Trust for the quantum era. The proposed combination brings together our enterprise Zero Trust platform with IonQ’s post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and quantum key distribution (QKD) capabilities. Our customers face two overlapping priorities: containing attacks that operate at machine speed and preparing to protect sensitive information against future quantum threats. Together with IonQ, we intend to help them address both while building on the security investments they already trust. Elisity IdentityGraph and our unified policy fabric provide identity context and policy enforcement for users, devices, workloads and AI agents. The shared roadmap would connect that foundation with cryptographic inventory and risk information to help customers prioritize post-quantum upgrades while keeping essential operations running. “Our customers need to prioritize post-quantum cryptography initiatives while securing existing assets to keep essential operations running,” said James Winebrenner, CEO of Elisity. Following closing, Elisity will continue serving customers under its current leadership. Our commitment to innovation, customer success and strong partner relationships remains unchanged. Security for what’s next. Read James’s perspective on what this means for our customers, partners and team: elisity.com/news/elisity-ann… #ZeroTrust #QuantumCyberSecurity

IonQ announced it has agreed to acquire @ElisityInc to accelerate zero trust for the quantum era. The acquisition brings together IonQ’s post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and quantum key distribution (QKD) capabilities with Elisity's enterprise Zero Trust technology platform. Enterprises face two overlapping priorities: containing attacks that operate at machine speed and preparing to protect sensitive information against future quantum threats. A recent GAO report (files.gao.gov/reports/GAO-27…) found that none of the 24 federal agencies it audited had fully addressed selected post-quantum cryptography practices, while Juniper Research (juniperresearch.com/press/po…) projects that only 27% of global enterprises will be quantum-ready by 2035. Together, these trends underscore the need to prepare now for the quantum era. IonQ will add an expanded cybersecurity platform that uncovers and protects against both present LLM and emerging quantum threats. “With Elisity and its team as part of IonQ, we will be well positioned to help customers protect critical infrastructure and enterprise networks throughout the transition to the quantum era. Elisity will bring proven enterprise policy enforcement scale and deployment experience to our quantum security strategy and will give IonQ a strong growth platform to serve customers,” said IonQ’s Chairman and CEO @NiccoloDeMasi. This contains a shocking list of problems in quantum information, many-body physics and quantum computing, the field that are dear to my heart. There are too many, but let me pick the following. 1. Proof of area law in 2D. 2. Spin-one Haldane gap 3. Parity is not in QAC^0 4. Constant-error Aaronson-Kuperberg conjecture 5. Unitary VOAs generating conformal nets. Things are changing fast. I cannot even imagine what will happen over the next few months, let alone a year.
We’re releasing a broad range of new mathematical results produced by an internal frontier model. We’ve been consulting with the independent Advisory Group on Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at the Institute for Advanced Study, and we have drawn on their advice and public recommendations to inform how we release these results. github.com/openai/math

$IONQ NSA just launched a hub for quantum-resistant cryptography NSA announced it on Oct 1, in line with Executive Order 14412. The order has the State Department engage foreign governments in key countries and encourage them to move to NIST-standardized algorithms. It also requires NSA to report to the President on how far national security systems have migrated. As mandated by the Committee on National Security Systems Policy 15: → From 2027, new commercial national security systems must be able to support quantum-resistant algorithms → By 2030, legacy systems that cannot support them are phased out Morgan Stern, Effort Lead for Quantum Resistance at NSA: "The quantum threat is an existential threat to the digital ecosystem, but we have the tools today to combat it." Cameron Chehreh, IonQ's vice president of field engineering and federal go-to-market, wrote on Sept 11 that the work now is "implementation: helping agencies, enterprises, and allied partners prepare for the quantum era". nsa.gov/Press-Room/Press-Rel… #IonQ #Quantum #PQC
