The voting for the Combine24 generative art contest is underway! Explore the artworks and pick your favorite! The Combine24 is a "coded-generative art contest" organized by @K_Galleria. It is the first global #generativeart contest organized by a national museum. The prizes in this contest include an audience choice award, and the voting period is from September 1 to October 1. My entry, "A Dance with History," is based on the open database of the Finnish National Gallery. This work first analyzes all 30,171 images in the database collection using a Pose Tracking system. The goal is to identify images with human body gestures and store them in a numeric form. Then, it utilizes this gesture data to generate art by combining different poses and creating smooth transitions, resulting in images that resemble a dance. It is also where the title "A Dance with History" comes from. "Documents and paintings are frozen frames of time, yet history is a continuum." This work uses "Pose" as a symbol. By randomly selecting and displaying images from the database, the aim is to present historical data to audiences and appreciate it. However, the true intention of this work is to embrace us, the unknown people. Because we, the ordinary crowd, are not the ones who would be painted on canvas and displayed in a museum. But we all observe someone's pose and imitate these idols to find our own gesture, our own position in the world. So by portraying those gestures in between, it actually embraces us, the ordinary crowd. "Through these timeless artifacts, we learn and evolve, each step guided by the wisdom of the past — a dance with history." If you feel connected with the work, please consider voting for it! And if you want to explore other works, you can find the work list on the website and try out the generator on @Highlight_xyz (link in the comments)

Recently we build an live mint system utilizing @objktcom's smart contract, where the audience can draw their own shape and then minted into an NFT. Nowadays these kind of "system infrastructure" are much more achievable with the help of AI (multi player system, calling smart contract via script, etc), maybe this is the era where NFTs can become interesting again?
The interactive work "Constellation Array," designed by artist @Newyellow and curated by @VolumeDAO, is currently on display at Taipei Songshan Cultural and Creative Park's Tsutaya Books, echoing the exhibition "Synchronic Constellation: Cross-Boundary Perspectives in Art" currently showing at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (MOT). year-end project -「勁水國寶:故宮X蘭博特展」 @newyellow2 and I facilitated a three-weekend generative art workshop for this collaborative exhibition between the National Palace Museum and Lanyang Museum. Following the workshop, we developed a unified system comprising 5 generative modules, each designed by a different student group. I’ll share more details about this project soon. - I want to take a moment to thank my project partner newyellow for his support, especially during tough times. I learned much from him - not only how to develop large-scale projects, but also how to rediscover my original intentions and approach work more rigorously.

Developing a project for women × coding × art in Taiwan — looking for insights and experiences! This project aims to build a supportive community for women in Taiwan working with creative coding — through learning, sharing, and collective growth — while also opening pathways to international exchange I’d love to hear from you if you: - Have experience with code + art programs or communities - Know relevant organizations or resources and are open to making international connections - Want to get involved, support, or share any advice (Currently in the research phase — any info, experience, or advice is deeply appreciated 🙏) A small personal note: I’m quite introverted by nature, but I’m sharing this in hopes of reaching more people who might resonate with or support this project I’m applying for a government program with plans for an international visit in 2026 Regardless of the outcome, I’ll continue working on this — even if it means moving a bit more slowly

Already a collector? I haven't forgotten about you. Airdrops are hard, so here's the plan... If you: 1) Already hold a piece from any previous collection 2) Mint an Inner Forms on @fx_hash_ I will reimburse you. (Once per wallet. Details below.) ——— instructions 👇— Quote tweet this with your Inner Forms (with iteration #) so I can look it up and confirm you already hold a Commune, Verdant Brut, Artifice or anything from The Self Trilogy, and then I will send you 200 $VEK (which I hope you will use to mint another one...) Feel free to include the previous piece alongside your new Inner Forms if you like. Be patient though, please, and feel free to poke me if it takes longer than a day. If you really don't want to tweet about it, DM me and we'll work it out, but again, this is just for existing collectors.

Polypath by @IOivm is absolutely stunning. I’m also blown away by the collaboration between collectors and the work’s algorithm — so many interesting variations! Big shoutout to @verse_works for building such a system! I didn’t have much luck generating great outputs myself, so just picked up a few seeds from the market :P

It seems that @eBoyArts's TOWR is a really successful one that utilizing the fxhash open-form features, as people are really playing and exploring on top of each others to find interesting iterations! #fxhash

Years have passed, and many from the wild 2021 have left away. But some of us stayed — Tonight, fxhash is unveiling its new open-form feature, along with an art-coin economy experiment. Perhaps today marks another great beginning? I can’t wait to see where this journey leads!
FXH Protocol in simple terms It's a new system for linking onchain art + coins launched by artists This system introduces numerous earning pathways for artists and is significantly more robust than royalties for them For collectors, art coins open new types of interaction with artwork, earning from curation, and exposure to artist momentum by holding the artist's $coin Try it for yourself today at 6PM CET when $CIPHRD goes live

What is the industry of "Interactive New Media"? Even though I have worked in the industry for many years, it still feels like a mystery to me. My students often ask questions such as, "What kinds of jobs are available?" "Which companies are hiring?" and "How should I prepare?" And I have never been able to answer these questions clearly. However, recently, at the Creative Media Gathering meetup, I heard a talk by Harry, the Creative Technology Director at JIC Media Group, which helped clarify things a bit. During his sharing, what impressed me most was a Creative Tech industry survey chart from Swiss. Previously, whenever I thought about "Interactive New Media," I primarily imagined those companies that make interactive installations —which might be recognized as the "exhibition technology" industry. However, according to this survey, the field they define as "Creative Tech" is much broader. They include advertising, art, music, video games, and even film industries. From this perspective, I think maybe we could define "Interactive New Media" as "Code + X." Any idea or art that can expressed through code could be included as Creative Tech, though specific jobs may vary based on the industry context. For instance, creating an interactive VR experience for a film would fall under the film industry, while developing VR for a game would place you in the gaming sector. If your VR project is focused on art, it would be considered part of the art sector. Despite these distinctions, the core skills and technologies required for VR projects remain largely the same. (But of course, some domain knowledge will be good to have based on different industries.) Therefore, if anyone is interested in a career in interactive new media, don't restrict your job search to just interactive companies. Instead, consider exploring positions in various related industries.

"The artist becomes a gardener, watching as the garden grows a life of its own." It was the quote the curator said the last time Succulent Garden was exhibited in the Jut Museum. It seems that with the new open-form on @fx_hash_ , I'm now able to implement this at the core of this work. Can't wait to release this garden with the new evolve feature! #fxhash #generativeart
