NFL Week 5 Best Bets
Ravens @ BENGALS +2.5
Burrow and the boys have looked sharp of late, and the Ravens do not have the secondary to keep up. This should be a standard back and forth with the last team possessing the ball coming away with the win. Bengals get one at home.
SAINTS +5.5 @ Chiefs
The Chiefs have shown an incredible ability to grind out games and play excellent possession football. That style of play is not conducive to covering large spreads. This should be another competitive game where the team that can execute short yardage downs the best will come out on top.
Honorable Mention:
BROWNS +3.5 @ Commanders
Classic overreaction line. Browns looked pathetic on the road in Vegas, while the Commanders offense is unstoppable. Fade the Commanders as they come back to earth and the Browns show they are still a professional football team.
NFL Week 3 Best Bets
LIONS -3 @ Cardinals
Recency bias. Detroit moved the ball up and down the field against Tampa Bay, but could not convert those drives into touchdowns. The Cardinals smoked a debilitated Rams team and now everyone is drinking the Kool-Aid. The Lions get back to the run and handle business.
DOLPHINS +4.5 @ Seahawks
Speaking of getting back to the run, that’s exactly what the Dolphins need to do. I think Tua being out will actually help the Dolphins establish their run game and keep it close on Sunday.
Honorable Mention:
TEXANS -2 @ Vikings
The Vikings were extremely fortunate throughout their game against the 49ers. The Texans didn’t show great last Sunday night, but they are still a class above the Vikings. Texans win and cover.

NFL WEEK 2 BEST BETS (all numbers taken from official Circa Millions Contest point spreads)
Colts at PACKERS +2.5
HUGE overreaction to Willis starting in place of Love. Is Willis good? No. But he isn’t going to single-handedly lose the game against an otherwise inferior Colts squad. This spot reminds me a bit of Week 1, when everyone was too gun-shy to take Sam Darnold on the road. That one worked out well, so will this.
BROWNS +3 at Jaguars
Despite how awful Watson looked, the defense still played well. With a few offensive linemen returning, one would hope Stefanski keeps things simple for Watson against a banged up Jags secondary. Also, I don’t trust Doug Pederson, ever.
Honorable Mention:
RAMS +1 at Cardinals
The Cardinals cannot seem to figure out the Rams. The Rams entire offense is seemingly injured, but they will still be able to run the ball against the Cardinals weak front. The Rams just know how to grind out wins.
NFL WEEK 1 BEST BETS (all numbers taken from official Circa Millions Contest point spreads)
TITANS +3.5 @ Bears
The Titans are gaining traction in Week 1, rightfully so. They did enough in the offseason to plug some holes, i.e. skill positions and secondary, and should be a bit more formidable offensively. The Bears have been getting plenty of preseason hype, but that does not always bode well in the NFL. Titans are undervalued here and have a great shot to win the game outright.
VIKINGS -1 @ Giants
The current trope is that the Vikings have Sam Darnold therefore cannot be trusted in any capacity. Can Daniel Jones be trusted? Give me O'Connell managing Darnold over Daboll managing Jones any day. The Giants are poised for another underwhelming 5/6 win season and the Vikings are being completely undervalued early in the season.
Honorable Mention:
CARDINALS +6 .5@ Bills
Way too many points. The Cardinals were feisty last year, particularly on offense as the year progressed. That will only improve. The Bills are undergoing a serious makeover, particularly on defense, and will struggle to stop teams this year. This is likely high scoring with the back, or front, door wide open.
I’m back! Will post record updates from previous weeks (it was nothing special.)
NFL Week 14 Best Bets:
Patriots -1.5
Vikings +2
Panthers +4
