ICYMI: We’ve rolled out a new MCP server adapter for AWS Lambda.
This update enables developers to ✅ Wrap existing studio MCP servers into Lambda functions ✅ Invoke function-based MCP servers using the MCP protocol over short-lived connections ✅ Build flexible applications - from desktop apps to distributed cloud systems.
Whether you're modernizing legacy systems or building new cloud-native apps, this adapter opens up new possibilities for your MCP-based projects!

Hi Everyone - I'm interesting in chatting with developers experimenting with MCP servers and that are also using Serverless on AWS such as AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, Amazon EventBridge. Please reach out via DM. Thanks!
My concern with the possibilities here is less about fakes being presented as real, but real content being branded fake. People who want to deny the truth will have an easier time doing so when so much content is fake but looks real.

🔮10 years in, what does the future hold for Amazon ECS?
Join host Keith Townsend (@CTOAdvisor) & @awscloud’s @nickcoult as they explore the impact of #GenAI on #AmazonECS and #containerized evolution & its future at #AWSreInvent
As we head into #reinvent, we have so many exciting things planned for serverless customers. 10 years of ECS and Lambda is just the beginning! #serverless #aws

Big improvement to the AWS Lambda console, now you get a VSCode-based editor directly in the console allowing you to use a familiar editor for inline editing of your functions!
Here’s another goody. We now help new (and old) customers get started with VS code in the console.

Recursion detection with S3 launched!
Launching never gets old at AWS and we have some awesome big stuff coming down the pipeline. But today we had an awesome quality of life improvement for customers on Lambda. Recursion detection now works for S3 events: aws.amazon.com/about-aws/wha…

💯I can confirm this! Our engineers review this feedback, and like Eric said, and often times address them. So if you have something you wanna say about what works (or doesn't) in the Lambda console, you know how to do it 😁

Let's not forget Lambda! Lambda handled over 1.3 trillion invocations during Prime Day 2024.
Lots of people love Amazon ECS for its power and simplicity - but did you know Amazon itself uses ECS? ECS launched 77.24M tasks for Prime Day 2024, a 23% increase from the previous year’s Prime Day.aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/how…
