So good @CBEInt “...complementarianism, which casts women and men into roles of submission & authority, is an ideology built upon the same diseased social imagination that allowed colonists to cast Europeans and Africans into the roles of White & Black" tinyurl.com/26jbccjj

Thanks to @nickmobrien who shares this from my book, BAPTISTLAND: When pastors abuse kids & congregants in the name of God, it’s not only the physical acts that decimate, it’s the weaponization of faith & destruction of meaning-making. #ChurchToo #SBCtoo

I guess it's fair we're out $300 for a problem we didn't cause 😕
Replying to @nickmobrien
Our Customer Relations team has full authority over you claim and will handle it to completion.
Help. @AmericanAir delay made us miss our connecting flight. The AA employee at the desk said we'd be reimbursed for a rental car if we emailed in our receipts. Now over email, it's "we don't reimburse rental cars." I was lied to and I'm out $320 for a problem I didn't create
A narcissist is too fragile to acknowledge their flaws. When this happens in a Christian, it creates idolatry. When it happens in a pastor, it creates a toxic institution where a church should be.

When Jesus became human, God displayed what humans should be, can be, and will be
He is the ideal human we should follow after
He empowers us with the Spirit so we can be conformed to His image
He will finally rescue us from all sin and glorify us
Piper says that God predestines some for damnation from the womb to preserve God’s freedom to choose to save or damn whoever He chooses to save or damn
If this is who God is, how can double-predestination Calvinists call abortion evil?
God is love and offers life to all!!
When we preach a gospel of salvation from the consequences of sin without rescue from sin itself, we shouldn’t be surprised when Christians continue to act sinfully
We’ve learned that we can sin and get away with it, instead of learning God wants to fill us with the Spirit, gifting us a new heart of flesh with His Word written upon it, to transform us by the renewing of our minds, conforming us to the image of the Son from glory to glory
