Transfer Portal---->> It's very legal to transfer... Issue for me is, some players writing a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT as if they just decided this overnight. You went to that school with the intent of transferring. You were just waiting for a particular time to do so. >>Disrespectful

The post we needed to start our weekend. Just going to a camp "To Get Your name OUT THERE" Is a HORRIBLE IDEA. Ask these questions before you pay thr $495. Thanks
I'm not anti-showcase...but before you spend money on another showcase, ask yourself: What am I trying to accomplish? Which schools will actually be there? Am I a realistic fit for those programs? Have I contacted them? Is my profile and video ready to send? You should be able to explain why you’re going. "I need exposure" is a stinky answer

Good list. One fix: FAFSA is not only for U.S. citizens; eligible noncitizens, such as permanent residents, can file too. Also add a fourth step: check whether each target college also requires the CSS Profile or its own aid form.

HS Coaches Have your Seniors do 3 things this week. 1. Sign up for Financial Aid (FAFSA) - This is for all U.S. Citizens 2. Sign Up for the NCAA Clearinghouse. 3. Sign up for the NAIA Eligibility Center Hold them accountable for these things if they want to play in college.

I took over a struggling program. I had to recruit kids and entice them to join a team with horrible previous records. Now I'm recruiting players to a program that has advanced to the World Series 3 straight seasons. I understand some kids might be intimidated. Great post here.
Most high school athletes dream of playing for a championship college program. 🏆 There’s nothing wrong with that, but here’s a question to consider 👇 What if joining a struggling program provides the BETTER opportunity? An established program often already has experienced players at every position, talented backups, and limited opportunities for underclassmen to compete. Your athlete might have to wait two or three years before earning a starting role is realistic. 😕 A rebuilding program, on the other hand, might provide an opportunity to compete earlier and the satisfaction of being a big part of MAKING a program successful. Of course, not every struggling program presents a good opportunity. There’s a difference between a program that’s building with a clear plan and a program that’s struggling because of poor leadership, inadequate resources, or a dysfunctional culture. The main point is this… Don’t automatically eliminate a school because of its win-loss record, and don’t assume that joining a winning program automatically means your athlete will have a better experience. The end goal isn’t simply to be part of a successful program. It’s finding an opportunity where your athlete can contribute, develop, and have a meaningful college experience. 👍 If you'd like help identifying college programs that might be a great fit for your athlete, even some you haven't considered, message us to get started with a free recruiting consultation.

It's sad the HS Recruits are asking me, why dont you prepare players to transfer to play for NCAA D1 Programs. BECAUSE THAT ISNT WHAT NAIA SPORTS IS ABOUT. I wish the HS/Select Coaches would stop telling kids that b/c that's where they get it from. Its sad man..

Great Info coach. I mean, these are the smart ones. WE NEED TO REACH THE PERCENTAGE THAT BETS ON THEMSELVES. Those are the ones ignoring all the advice on this app. These kids WILL TAKE A CHANCE JUST TO SIT IN DUGOUT FOR THE FALL.
Yesterday: 1 in 3 top recruits were gone from their commit school after one season. So who stayed? Freshmen who played (20+ at-bats or 10+ innings): 83% were back for year two. Freshmen who didn't: 48%. Before he commits, ask how many freshmen play. glynnbaseballadvisory.com/du…

HS Recruits----->>> These recruiting companies "ADVISING" you to go to a Non-JUCO program to play right away so you can HAVE A OPPORTUNITY to play NCAA D1 don't have your BEST INTEREST. CRIMINAL JUSTICE should be your major so you can get your money back one day!!!

Is the word DEVELOP overused? Whenever I hear that word I feel as if the player has something else in mind after the next couple years. Not to mention, each college coach has their own definition of DEVELOPMENT. LETS HEAR IT ..

When that kid transfers 3 times in 3 semesters, and he's ruled Ineligible, I want you to say this. We told him NOT TO LISTEN to the coaches who actually care about MORE THAN BASEBALL. Kids are already preparing to transfer schools without knowing the eligibility rules.

When a Non-NCAA D1 Coach think like this, they get roasted. Supposedly from the Twitter Recruiting trolls, we are supposed to welcome Freshman who aspire to play NCAA D1. Because the MISSION of our schools that aim to GRADUATE students doesn't matter. Great Post here Josh
Straight from the mouth of a mid-major D1 coach a few minutes ago. I told him I needed to write this stuff down and share with everyone. We were talking about a few players that I work with and he was telling me about how ridiculous recruiting is getting. "Everyone's running out of roster spots... so we are all like, 'this guy sucks' [when watching a player] because he's not an absolute dude. And we're all passing on good players because you'll probably be able to find an older or more experienced guy down the road". "We basically have 3 different recruiting classes each year. High school, JC, and portal. And you don't even know how many roster spots you're actually gonna have". "We have so few roster spots that we are grading kids on such high scales. Like a high school guy has to be a starter as a freshman or we can't recruit him. And then if he shows up and actually starts as a freshman for us he'll probably leave and get more money from a bigger school. So you can't win. And then we just end up sitting in a holding pattern." "The value of a single roster spot for us has gone up a ton because the total amount of spots we have has gone down, but the dollar amount per spot has gone up with scholarships increasing. So we are investing more in these guys, and expecting more." This is the sentiment amongst most D1 coaches at this point and honestly a large population of D2 and D3 programs that are incentivized to be patient and wait for an older guy rather than recruiting young. High tier academic schools operate on a different timeline, and there are certainly some other exceptions. But this is the new reality for most programs. Players and families... do not assume that you are the exception and that this doesn't apply to you!

Way to start the day with a WIN. I keep telling these hitters. Can't swing at bad pitches and expect good outcomes. Robbie Britt-----You have a new fan today.
🚨 Robbie Britt: Hitting Advice • Before obsessing over “fixing” your mechanics ask yourself 2 questions: 1. Am I on time? 2. Am I swinging at good pitches? ⭐️ Don’t worry about your mechanics when you step in the box. Focus on hunting YOUR pitch.
