When I look upon the temple at sunset, its pristine white walls glowing in the last light and the angel Moroni raising his trumpet from the spire, I see the glory of God. And I think that perhaps not in this life, but in another, I would have walked through those doors. I would have been sealed to my family for time and all eternity. I would have partaken of the American religion, the faith that built the Southwest, that made the desert blossom as the rose, that carved farms and towns and life itself out of nothing. It is a faith that still shines as a light for our nation. Oh, how I love these temples. My heart sees in them such beauty, such wondrous beauty.

Marry at 23. Have four kids by 30. Pay ten percent to God. In 2026 that is the most radical act available to a young American

on Joseph Smith monogamy claims There is a faction in the LDS community that insists Joseph Smith was a monogamist. Some of these people are active and in good standing. I have a hard time wrapping my head around it. Here is the problem. If you belong to the LDS Church, the only way to believe Joseph Smith had one wife is to believe Brigham Young was a liar and a fraud. Brigham did not merely practice plural marriage. He testified that he received it from Joseph, and he built the church in the West on that claim. If he invented the practice and pinned it on Joseph, then he was no prophet, and every prophet after him inherited his authority from a fraud. The line of authority runs through Brigham Young. Cut him out and the whole structure falls. And it does not stop with Brigham. Section 132 of the Doctrine and Covenants is canonized scripture received through Joseph Smith. The Church’s own Gospel Topics essay affirms that Joseph married plural wives. Many of those women left sworn affidavits that they were sealed to Joseph. To hold the monogamist position, you have to set aside the canon, the Church’s current teaching, and the testimony of the women themselves. I don’t think most people in this camp have followed the logic to its end. They want to keep the Restoration and lose the polygamy, but the two cannot be pulled apart without bringing down the house. That is why the Church takes the position so seriously. You cannot champion that view and remain a faithful member in good standing, because it requires you to disavow Brigham Young entirely, and with him the authority the Church claims today.

Evangelicals mock the Book of Mormon because archaeologists haven't found Zarahemla. The same evangelicals believe a wooden boat carried every animal on earth through a global flood four thousand years ago, and that archaeologists simply haven't found the water. Hypocrisy?

Did less church make stronger homes, or just shorter Sundays? There was a time when Mormons went to church all day Sunday. Priesthood meeting in the morning. Sunday School after that. Sacrament meeting in the late afternoon or evening. Primary and Mutual during the week. In 1980 it was all folded into a three hour block. In 2019 the block became two hours.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son. That has been the answer for two thousand years.
I'm yet to hear a good answer to this... In what meaningful way does their God love anyone?

People don’t understand what’s coming with ai. Job loss is only part of it. Soon you won’t be able to tell if the voice on the phone, the face on a Zoom call, or the footage on the news is real. Humanity has never faced a world where we can’t trust our own eyes and ears.
Jacks new Dressa voice model is not only incredibly realistic… It’s also not running a LLM…it’s just trained on pure voice and it can hold a conversation. And it can run locally. This makes me feel very fragile as a Human.

What’s actually going on in Ukraine is that there is a massive incentive difference between the elites and the people. The former have grown very rich off the hundreds of billions flowing to Ukraine, while the latter’s children are conscripted to die in trenches.

the real divide in America: it's not race or nationality One of my closest friends growing up was from Japan. He eventually moved back there with his family. English was his second language, and his family was not Christian. His father practiced Buddhist meditation. And yet our two families held remarkably similar values. We both held the traditional understanding of men and women. We both prized education. We both taught our children to respect their elders and to obey the law. We shared, in other words, the ordinary foundations of a functioning civilization. Only later in life did I understand what that meant. I had more in common with my friend’s family from Japan than I did with the typical liberal, secular, white family in San Francisco or Seattle. With that family I could not agree on what a man or a woman is. They were not neutral toward religion but openly hostile to it. They did not share my respect for law and civic order. They did not share even the most basic sexual norms. Looking back, I find that fascinating. My family has been in America for more than a hundred years. Yet I had more in common with an ordinary family from Japan than with many families who have been here just as long as mine. So what does that tell us about the divide in America today? It is not about race. It is not even about religion. It is a divide of culture and political ideology, two fundamentally different visions of what a good life and a good society look like. And I do not see how we reconcile them.

The majority of America’s cultural and political insanity on sex and gender is downstream of secular white progressives. When whites lose God, the guardrails come off. Gender becomes a social construct, biological reality gets treated as optional, and every other norm follows
