A debugging tip that’s as useful on day 1 as it is in year 10 is to break down expressions into variables. I can’t tell you how often I look at a line of code doing multiple things and think I know what it’s doing only to break it apart and realize I had made some assumption.

My baby is in third grade. She lugs a binder of Pokemon cards to school to swap them on the playground at recess. Her socks are always mismatched & she wears a dinosaur hoodie. She's just started making her own lunches for school every morning (she's very proud),

Ignore Realmac forum “announcements.” I just deactivated my account because of their foolishness. FWI, I’m looking forward to Stacks.app. Your work and integrity speaks for itself. No defense necessary. Hard to tune out the noise, I’m sure.

It’s a rare form of hypocrisy that touts a thriving addon community, then accuses developers of reverse engineering because they couldn’t be bothered to document their own #$%& plugin API.

Imagine Sherlocking the core plugin/platform that kept your nascent app alive for 10+ years rather than just working with those devs and then trying to spin it like you’re doing something for the good of the users/community. – at Seattle, WA

I just became the first U.S. Secretary of Education to call on President Biden to unilaterally cancel student loan debt. Can I count on you to retweet and help me hit 35k followers so we can spread the word?

I have decided not to fix the leak next to my part of the dam. This is a very private and personal choice I have made. What do you care what I do? You fixed your part of the dam. You’re safe. anyway I’m signing a law that forces your kids to go to school next to the dam

Story of a 66-year-old researcher, an immigrant, who rarely got grants, never got her own lab, never earned more than $60K. For four decades, she kept working on mRNA—a path considered foolish. Her work is the basis for the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. nytimes.com/2021/04/08/healt…
