Nobody acting like she’s innocent. Avida made a lot of mistakes, but her aims were genuinely to help her daughter. Kiril literally believed that he owned Talia because she was his daughter and it was all for his personal gain. They’re completely different.

I'm going to say it. If Kiril deserved the most gruesome death possible, why is Avida considered innocent? She was guilty in her desire to keep Talia alive by any means possible. She was willing to take it as far as SOULKILLER. She was even placing Kiril's life on the line by stealing the documents from his work computer. She also put Kingsley's life on the line while he was recovering from Cyberpsychosis. Under the guise that Talia is his daughter. Kiril might be worse, but she's not innocent.
