JOSH Teams के राष्ट्रीय शुभारंभ के अवसर पर केंद्रीय रक्षा राज्य मंत्री श्री संजय सेठ ने टीबी के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए चार प्रमुख संदेशों पर जोर दिया—लक्षण न छुपाएँ, जाँच से न घबराएँ, इलाज बीच में न छोड़ें और किसी के साथ भेदभाव न करें।
जन-जागरूकता, समय पर जाँच और पूर्ण उपचार से टीबी मुक्त भारत के संकल्प को और मजबूती मिलेगी।

Alongside Union Ministers Shri @mansukhmandviya and Shri @SethSanjayMP and Delhi Chief Minister, Smt. @gupta_rekha, rolled out Joint Squad for Health (JOSH) Teams across 55 districts in 11 States/UTs, harnessing the energy of our youth to accelerate the mission of TB free India.
Each JOSH Team, comprising 5 MY Bharat volunteers and 5 NCC cadets, led by a Class I officer, will spearhead youth-led grassroots action at block/ward level for TB prevention, early diagnosis, timely treatment and stigma reduction.
Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji, India’s fight against TB has become a Jan Andolan. I am happy to share that with collective action and community participation, we have been able to eliminate TB from 67,933 gram panchayats across the country.

Today, 8th October 2026, marks the national inauguration of JOSH (Joint Squad for Health) by the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
I had the opportunity to attend the programme at the District Magistrate's Office, North 24 Parganas, as part of this nationwide initiative.
JOSH brings together Class-I Officers, MY Bharat Volunteers and NCC Cadets, combining administrative leadership with the energy and commitment of our youth to strengthen grassroots healthcare awareness.
The mission is clear: Spread awareness, encourage early diagnosis, ensure treatment completion, dispel myths and eliminate the social stigma associated with tuberculosis.
Fighting TB is not merely a medical challenge; it is a collective social responsibility. Awareness can save lives, timely treatment can restore hope, and compassion can restore dignity.
A TB-Free India cannot be achieved by the healthcare system alone. It requires the participation of every citizen.
Let us turn youthful energy into community action and collective determination into a healthier tomorrow.
Together, we can make TB Mukt Bharat a reality!
