NY will never change as long as New Yorkers are alive to carry the culture forward.

Tenth grade, Mr King made damned sure we knew. He taught the entire year with that ancient pronunciation to his endless amusement.
I just got to tell one of those "I know everything about the Roman Empire" guys that Julius Caesar did not pronounce his VENI VIDI VICI catchphrase with the modern Italian accent everyone uses for it nowadays The historically accurate reconstruction would be "WEENIE WEEDY WEEKY"

Alternately, that’s the entire point.
What @MittRomney and @JoeManchinWV don't seem to get is, at this point, TONS of private businesses offer telework flexibility as a job benefit, and limiting it this sharply for federal workers cripples the public sector's ability to compete with the private sector for top talent.

HTTP->HTTPS redirects aren't always helpful. If you're serving APIs with "bearer-token-esque" authentication, consider rejecting HTTP requests or even revoking the API key altogether. jviide.iki.fi/http-redirects

Fantastic work exposing the incredible financial misdealings of the former MfL/GOP-dominated CBSD board. If you thought the outrageous severance package rammed through in their last meeting was wild, wait until you see what they were covering up.

The 2024 election is like every other election you will ever vote. The best strategy is to vote for who will most likely lead to the best outcomes. I can see no issue where Trump leads to better outcomes than Biden. Things may change, but hard to see how.

This is some Streisand Effect hilarity because I don’t know half the ugliness of the Murphy campaign and its surrogates until reading this.

I am very happy and proud to work for an organization that lets people in need sleep on its steps, lets a million folks use its website, and lets everyone for a mile around use its high-speed wireless internet connection.

When you internalize the fact that America is 50 angry gerbils trapped in a straitjacket everything about the country makes a lot more sense.

One thing I know is the Senate was his safe place, where he was sheltered from the consequences of his decades of power, and once he's gone that power evaporates. But he'll always be recognized, and will not have peace until he's dead.
BREAKING: Sen. Mitch McConnell will step down as Senate Republican leader in November. He is the longest serving Senate leader in history.

I never appreciated the genius of Richard Lewis until Curb, but even if that's all he did in his career it would have been enough to be remembered as such.
RIP Richard Lewis. A brilliantly funny man who will missed by all. The world needed him now more than ever.

A more reasonable, moral, and politically appropriate, choice might be to listen to this bloc; to match Gaza policy with words and vibes; and to destroy Trump by continuing to make the world a better place. An unrestrained Israel is not a choice we should be making.

I too would find it very difficult to vote for a man willing to sign blank checks to Netanyahu at this moment in time, in spite of what the armchair pundits say. Thankfully, that's not the only choice.

Dissent on this issue is crucial. Biden has shown himself to be movable on many issues, a capacity I admire in a man I had doubts about, and there is both a political and moral imperative to get this one right.

I believe Biden should, and will, win in 2024. But I am disgusted by a party doing everything possible to shut out discussion of our unqualified financial support for Israel's attrocities, and the tactics to marginalize a large bloc of traditional Democratic voters in doing so.

So much more embarrassing than the yell. Oh Howard Dean, way to shit on what is left of your legacy.
Howard Dean is not only a champion of progressive values, he’s a great friend who cares deeply about the future of our country. I’m proud to have him on #TeamTammy
