Please take a look at this if you can! I recently read through a report done by WHO stating that 1 in 3 women are physically or sexually assaulted in their lifetime. That in itself is just beyond crazy and it just doesn't sit right with me

It doesn't just happen in Cornell. It's not just a "one off thing". SA can happen everywhere, and to anyone. It's extremely important for us to educate ourselves about this, and to make sure that victims get to speak up. We have to hold bad people accountable. (1/3)

That being said, I cannot sit here with a platform and remain silent. Given everything in the news this past week, I feel a responsibility to speak up. Sexual assault is something 1 in 3 women WORLDWIDE experience in some form. While I am fortunate not to have experienced it myself, I have close friends who have.
To anyone who has survived sexual violence in any form: you are so strong, and I am endlessly proud of your resilience. Please know you are seen, supported, and never alone. I stand with all of you.
