Right then, change of plan. After reading all of your messages and advice, I am keeping this account in order to continue to spread hope and awareness of the dreadful conditions PANS and PANDAS.
I have depersonalised it by removing a lot of the personal posts and photos which is only right given my Boy is now 16 and it's his privacy and sensitive information.
Thank you all for reaching out, your understanding and advice.
Another article today about PANS PANDAS. It’s a tragedy that at their lowest point families are still finding out about this awful illness by chance. Well done to this brave Mum for helping spread awareness and to @louise_eccles for again writing about this devastating condition.

My oldest daughter has been living with PANDAS since her diagnosis 4 years ago. She’s 11yo now and it’s still impacting her school, home life and general health. Both physically and mentally. I’ll keep fighting for her 💚

Self-harm, eating disorders, emotional crisis, aggressive, challenging behaviours. Mostly in ages 6-9. Based on A&E in England. I have no doubt this is happening in Ireland too, the time to recognise and screen for inflammatory immune mediated #Pans #Pandas is now. @roinnslainte
Children as young as six going to A&E in mental health crisis bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn5d… Difficult to comprehend a 6-year old in crisis necessitating needing hospital. Also: "some of those in emotional crisis become aggressive or have challenging behaviour"
Shocking BBC headline. There’s no doubt that some of this is caused by PANS PANDAS. My Son had sudden onset of most of these symptoms but still most Drs and hospitals have never heard of PP. It’s a tragedy for these families and young people. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn5d…

Trauma survivors rarely say “I’m struggling.”
They say:
“I’m just tired.”
“I’ve got a lot on.”
“It’s been a weird week.”
They don’t ask for help.
They downplay everything.
Because life taught us that being honest makes people disappear.

I am so pleased that your son is improving, and that you might see him soon. It's totally understandable you need to move on from raising awareness on here, you have more than done your bit. I learnt about PANS/Pandas from here. Best wishes for the future
Morning all, just a note to say that I will be deleting this account later this weekend.
Everything is good and I genuinely think that I’m very close to being able to see my Boy again. However, I think that’s best done in private.
I remain committed to raising awareness of this awful condition and I will continue to do that in my own way, as well as to keep raising funds for the amazing charity PANS PANDAS UK. However, I feel that using my Son’s story to do that is not my choice any more, especially as he continues his journey back to normal life.
The last 6 years have been difficult and there’s been many low points and times where I didn’t think we would get him back or I would ever see him again.
However, you’ve all kept me going with your support, advice, kindness and involvement and for that I am very grateful. At times it felt like all I had and you will never know how important it was to me. I’ve met some incredible people on here and been humbled by your own strength and bravery with all you have been through. Keep going please. Keep being nice on here and kind to each other, it really makes a difference.
Thank you all and I love you Son ❤️

What a day we had ! Last weekend 15 of us from @gemini_wealth took part in the @suttonfunrun to raise money for @PANSPANDASUK - so far we’ve raised over £5,600 🫶. The kindness and generosity of everyone who took part and everyone who has donated are incredible, thank you all so much ❤️
It’s now 6 years and 3 months since I’ve seen my Son because of the devastating impact on him from PANS PANDAS. However, he’s saying he’s ready to meet up again this week after his last exam on Wednesday. I hope he can and feel so happy that he’s making great progress after having his life on pause for so long.
I love you Son ❤️
This young lady is incredible and has suffered debilitating OCD for so long. Sending all my best wishes and support ❤️

Making memories with my beautiful Daughter. She was just 6 when her Brother changed so much so suddenly. She’s missed many years of memories with him but her positivity and determination are an inspiration. She never complains and just gets on with enjoying life. I’m very lucky to have her. Maybe our next family holiday her Brother may be with us 🤞Love you Darling ❤️

Today at the @Europarl_EN, with @EP_President Metsola, I joined the conference on #PANS and #PANDAS hosted by MEP Salvatore De Meo @salv_de_meo.

Brave young people with PANS and PANDAS spoke to MPs about their struggles. Thousands of children suffer from the conditions that can come on suddenly after illnesses like colds or tonsillitis. Symptoms include:
• Obsessive-compulsive behaviours
• Tics
• Extreme anxiety

10 yrs of watching my brave Emily fight #PANDAS severe #OCD #tics #anxiety & now #dysautonomia. It’s taken school, dance & so much joy yet she still shines ✨️
Her strength floors me. Thank you to those checking in on her. It means everything 🥰
