It takes a monster to kill children. But to watch monsters kill children again and again and do nothing isn’t just insanity—it’s inhumanity.

#COR424 has definitely changed my life! The lessons and discussions I have learned are going to carry me forward for the rest of my life. I have become more aware of all life around me- human and nonhuman- and what my role to kin is. #ElonEd

Last day of #COR424 Last J-term at Elon! I could not have picked a better class or group of people to spend the last three weeks with. #ElonEd

I LOVE when my teachers whip out a picture book (especially one i’ve never read) and drop knowledge on us. I need this book for my classroom library! @scomorrison #COR424 #ElonEd – at Elon, NC

Had so much fun talking to ⁦@elonuniversity⁩ students in their #NatureAwareness class, which, naturally, they take in their #OutdoorClassroom. Glad they briefly turned on a computer to host me!

After a week of seeing the waste I accumulate I decided to see if I could reduce my waste into a mason jar. I still found myself struggling and unfortunately what isn't pictured is larger amazon packages and cardboard boxes. #COR424 #ElonEd

I am a little discouraged with myself but I think I am going to continue to challenge myself each week to collect my trash in a mason jar and I want to see if it gets easier and if I am able to fill it less and less each week. #COR424 #ElonEd

Here's a little fire from my #sitspot today. I am ending class today so appreciative of the unique class community and relationships that happen in @scomorrison class! #COR424 #ElonEd

Yesterday was the Jewish holiday Tu BiShvat, which is a holiday that reminds Jews of our connection to the earth and our role to take care of the environment. Growing up many memories I have with nature also intersect with my Jewish identity. #COR424 #ElonEd

Hey #COR424 I thought I would share this podcast, Unlikely Hikers, someone shared with me over the summer. This podcast highlights the experience of minorities in nature and talks about inclusion and diversity in the outdoors. @UnlikelyHikers

Animals haven't been raised with human social structures which can explain why we can find peace in ourselves in nature however with the actions of white male supremacy minority groups lose what is supposed to be a sanctuary. #COR424 #ElonEd audubon.org/news/for-lgbtq-c…

I've loved the community that our #COR424 class has created over J-term. Otis included. #ElonEd
