Officially coming back online today after paternity leave. My wife and I are thrilled to share that we welcomed our first baby, Charlotte Eleanor Tippmann. The past few weeks have been full of family time, tiny outfits, and the best kind of perspective shift. She’s already brought a lot of joy into our world. Somehow, @TipTopVC also managed to have a pretty busy stretch while I was out: 3 new investments made, 1 new SPV closed, and one of our portfolio companies signed a Series A. It’s been the best kind of whirlwind. I’m jumping back in this week and will be in SF for a couple of events, then on the road quite a bit over the next 4-5 weeks. Grateful for the family time and excited to be back!

Co-hosted an intimate VC dinner here in Austin with @charliepinto @ @blingcapital this week. Big shoutout to @abickerstaff & his team at @DLA_Piper for sponsoring. A great mix in the room: emerging managers, longtime ATX staples, and multi-stage firms from the coasts. The energy and candor were awesome.
