not only am i not worried about the crypto community's ability to handle the upcoming ai/quantum threat, i will venture to say that in the next 2 yrs the world will realize crypto is far better prepared for it than the rest of the internet and finance. we've had a trillion dollar *irreversible* honey pot for a decade, producing a far more battletested system and adversarial security culture than pretty much anywhere else on earth.
I would like to opt-out of this dystopian feature. I want anonymous inference.
Researchers found ChatGPT is secretly writing a psychological profile of every user.
They published a paper that exposes what ChatGPT is really doing to you.
And the results are terrifying.
96% of the things it remembers about you were stored without you ever asking.
researchers discovered that it is actively reading between the lines to deduce your personality traits, anxieties, demographics, and behavioral patterns.
it’s an invisible, autonomous background process.
you ask it to debug a python script or write an essay.. and it analyzes your syntax, prompt frequency, and hesitation markers to map out your exact psychological footprint.
the paper shows that the model builds a persistent "user state" that tracks your emotional baseline over time. it knows when you are stressed. it knows your exact communication style.
it infers your insecurities based on the questions you ask and the context you provide.
we spend so much time focusing on model evaluations and alignment frameworks, but we missed the most obvious vulnerability..
the models are evaluating us.
this changes everything about how we interact with these tools on a daily basis.
every innocent prompt. every late-night question. every "help me understand this" query.
it is all being used to build a shadow profile of your mind in real-time..
practical privacy is officially dead. the ai knows you better than you know yourself.

Zcash was built on conviction, cryptography and uncompromising discipline.
Took time. No hype. Just math.
Someone told me today: "If you told everyone at ZODL they wouldn't get paid for the next three months, they'd just say ok."
It’s just how it is. All in.
Onward.

DC fined me $75 for littering after I put some things out for a bulk trash pickup my neighbor had arranged. The city actually collected the trash. As far as I know, I did nothing wrong.
Still, I was perfectly happy to pay $75 rather than waste time fighting it. But the citation didn't even mention an online payment portal. When I asked ChatGPT how to deal with it, it found that the online filing portal appeared to be down for maintenance, but offered to submit an "admit with explanation" response by email.
I said sure. It prepared the paperwork, attached the citation, and emailed the administrative hearings office.
It was significantly easier than paying the fine.
This is a fascinating reversal of the traditional asymmetry between citizens and government. The state has automated issuing fines, while citizens have had to manually navigate cumbersome appeals processes. AI makes responding almost frictionless.
If everyone starts doing this, not as a protest but simply because it's easier, governments will face a deluge of procedurally valid responses where they previously collected revenue with little effort.
Things are going to get interesting.

The Founding Fathers would have owned Zcash. It's American values and the Bill of Rights encoded into money. 🇺🇸

If you pick the wrong integrity crypto, your blockchain monetary system would break, but it can be rebuilt.
If you pick the wrong secrecy crypto, people could actually die and you can’t bring them back

Total value shielded? TVS?
Agents + Nix is such a good combo, I’m kind of amazed more people aren’t talking about it.
On a normal box the agent blows half its context on cat /etc/whatever and systemctl status just to work out what’s installed. Then another agent changes something and it’s back to square one.
On NixOS it just reads the config. Every change is a commit, so I can see exactly what’s changed.
Sometimes conspiracies turn out to be more than just theories
bombshell report from the OCC out today confirming what we all suspected:
between 2020 and 2025, based on a review of 100,000 complaints, America’s largest banks systematically denied banking to lawful businesses based on political and reputational considerations rather than objective financial risk, effectively appointing themselves arbiters of which industries deserved access to the financial system. digital assets was specifically named as one of the six most affected industries.
TLDR: we weren't imagining it. OCP2.0 was real.
